Also reading the messages back and forth, why does the 11 year old sound like the mature one with the head screwed on, NOT her? Like the questions he's asking "so does that mean... you know what I'm thinking" and the way he says "we can celebrate when you get home" - like the kid is doing all of the mental work here. She's so careless. It breaks my heart.

I know everyone does things differently, but If you hadn’t seen your child in a month, and they are obviously quite keen for some Mum time, would you be setting up your iphone recording a song to upload to Instagram? I just find it all so warped and actually makes me sick to the stomach the decisions that get made. I just felt sadness watching it.

She was too busy loving herself sick to notice how uncomfortable he was. Not only did she not notice in the moment but also failed to notice in the process of rewatching and uploading it to Insta. Every time she posts her time with the kids it just highlights how skewed her priorities are.
