I absolutely love this programme
If you haven't seen it already, I would really recommend Reasonable Doubt - five seasons of that. Lots of (mainly) very delusional families trying to get convictions overturned.

There were some successes though and people have since been released but not necessarily as a result of the show. I'm still following one case that's due for a retrial in September. Season 2, episode 1 - Convicted by a Hair if you're interested.

It was actually one of my favourite USA crime shows, despite it clearly being very scripted and the general overacting of Chris Anderson, who was also a detective on The First 48. I was sad it got cancelled.

Oh and definitely Accused: Guilty or Innocent? There's seven seasons on that. And it's spin off Accused: Did I Do It? There's a season of that.

All available on catch up.

Thank you so much! I'm going to look for Reasonable doubt!
I also loved The first 48! I think it was my all time favourite show!

The First 48 is still going - there's a new season starting tomorrow in the USA - but they are not currently actively filming in any city 😞

A new series of Murder 24/7 starts tonight on BBC1 at 9. The first 2 episodes are already on BBC iplayer so I’ll be watching them both later (and hoping the crime wasn’t in my neck of the woods as West Mercia Police cover my area).

Iv been watching some old Crimewatch UK episodes on YouTube tube. It's really scary seeing so many rapes/ attacks against women that went on. Sometimes I feel like I have rose tainted glasses on regarding the past, as though my nostalgia seems to erase the nasty bits....
The reconstructions are quite graphic at times, but it's also interesting to see them. It's also very interesting at times because you see things like the price of petrol back then! I also noticed Paddy from Emmerdale was in the reconstructions....alot! Lol !

Just started watching A Toxic Love Story on Netflix. I'm about ten minutes in.

I know this case - I recognise some of the video footage and the mugshot - think it was maybe featured on Dateline or 48 Hours. I can't remember what happens - I can guess though!

Really enjoyed these episodes. Murder 24/7 is so well done. Never sensationalised, shows how the police follow the evidence these days & like how they show 2 smaller cases in an episode rather than padding out 1 per episode.
