Covid positive and feeling lik

I didn’t want to drag up an old thread - and rekindle old debates about vaccinations etc, but wondering if anyone else is currently suffering with the rona

I have tested positive on a couple of past occasions (when had to test regularly at work) with barley a symptom or non at all.
This time, I took the knock terribly nearly two weeks ago and still testing positive. Fever, chills, awful cough, aches, headaches and with zero taste or smell.

I am supposed to be going on holiday on Wednesday - but have barely left my bed in two weeks. I have not heard of anyone else feeling this crap (certainly not this year). Am I alone in this Covid hell? 😵💫😆

No idea but just getting over that cold that's been going round though (could be covid, don't know), nose like a tap, frequent coughing, sneezing. Started going onto my chest too.

Mine started of like a bad cold. I only tested as I still have lateral flows that are still in date, from when I had to test for work.
I think the lack of taste / smell prob would have told me Covid though.

Sorry to hear. It’s rotten isn’t it - I guess we were just not expecting to feel so crappy with it, especially after previously having easy positives.

Pretty sure I had it most of the summer. Couldn't shake off the cough and kept losing my taste and smell. It was like I was re-catching it on a weekly basis or something. Never felt like that before.

I’ve got it - first timer! Feels a bit lame to catch Covid for the first time in 2023 😉 I’m feeling hot and cold and really achey. The aches are the worst. I’ve not had an appetite for a fair few days but I just woke up for a nap and I am starving - like ravenous. I practically inhaled 2 chicken wraps and I’m still hungry. I read online it’s because when you’re ill your metabolism increases to fight the infections so you can end up with hunger.
I hope you are all feeling better.

My husband and I currently have it and we feel awful. Really hard to manage with a 6 year old running around, and I’m 17 weeks pregnant too. Feeling very sorry for ourselves. It’s our first time with Covid, unbelievably!

I think I’ve got it for the first time too. Headaches, aches and pains, exhausted, can’t move from my bed. Tested negative this morning but it’s only the first day of feeling like this. I was in contact with people who had just got over it over the weekend, or so they said. My chest feels like someone is standing on it & my asthma pump is doing nothing to help at all 😭
