Covid hospital test kit

So, I have a procedure at the hospital on Sunday and was told to take my covid test tomorrow, 3 days before and it was to be collected by a courier that day. Stupid me forgot to book a courier to collect it tomorrow and now its too late I phoned the helpline and he told me I could either wait to Friday to do the test, collect that day and hope I get the result in time or I could take it to a priority postbox to send it back and again hope that I get the result in time.

Now I'm completely lost, what would you do for the best? I've been waiting so long for this, I cant believe I forgot to book it

Try and find out if there is a priority post box with a really early collection, it might have been collected sooner than a courier would collect. Hopefully, it will get there quick enough.

Could you go to a test site and have it done? I got my test results back in under 24 hours, though I guess it depends where you live.

Thanks for replying I ended up ringing the hospital department and they got me booked in for a test at a drive in place yesterday, so it's all sorted
