Is it a clunky device to get Tim to do something odd and out of character?
Hope not as he and Sally are a great couple. Genuinely love and in love with each other.

The writing is getting worse. Ross the Toss overhearing Cassie saying everything out loud just feet away from her and having time to intercept and bribe/threaten the other woman lol. It's like GCSE drama sometimes.

Still feels nuts that the extremely pivotal reveal of Jodie being Sarah's attacker was left off-screen!!

Why was Chesney being such a dick to Dev about the school fees? He and Gemini can't afford them, Joseph's mother can't now - what was Chesney's grand plan? Just constantly whinge and moan about it?

Surely with all those vulnerable kids and not enough bedrooms, they wouldn’t allow them to foster more? Brody can’t share with any of them.

First of all, I highly doubt that Social Services would place an emergency placement with a long term placement family. Doing so would endanger the stability of the children in the long term placement!

Especially placing a child who’s mother had just been MURDERED by their father!!!

Second, you are telling me that Tim’s cousin lived close enough to be in the same social worker district, yet Tim hasn't seen him for years??? Ran into him like he was a long lost relative who had emigrated to Australia decades ago!

Third, there is apparently only one social worker in Weatherfield, just as there are only two police officers, one hairdresser, etc

Can we break the creepy greasy woman threatening Sarah out of prison, get her to murder Miss Poker Gun, and then bang her back up in a secure unit away from Ar Sarah?

This Lucy really isn't what the show needs right now - more relentless misery and a tedious, stroppy, unhinged teen.

I'm watching the build up of the Tony Gordon storyline from January 2009 and Steve's affair with Becky. It's gripping but there are also lots of real laugh out loud moments. There's no nuance anymore.

Since she's now stepping out with Carl in real life I'm worried this means she'll be staying on
I actually groan whenever she appears. Her story just isn't going anywhere. Brains Sarah? No comeuppance. Has a gun? Doesn't matter. Tries to seduce David? Forgotten. Trolls Daniel so he's driven to drink? Oh well.
It's just so irritating now. And always the dense Shona wailing 'but she's me sister David - you have to let her stay'.

Won’t stop watching, but I’m scrolling my phone more. This has got to be up there with the shittest it’s ever been. Another cancer storyline. Just stop ‘raising awareness’ ffs. It’s depressing.

In ye olde days, when they did a big, awareness story, they did it well and it really did raise awareness. It was always in isolation and done well. Viewers were invested.
Now, they're crammed in with a couple of others and done poorly, it doesn't have the same impact.

We've currently got Debbie's early dementia, Betsey's sexual gratification stroke and now Kit's male breast cancer. Still bits of the domestic abuse fallout for Todd. I've probably missed some.

Do one thing well rather than several badly.

I think the whole who killed Theo storyline has been rubbish tbh its been dragged out far too long and surely they're not going to have Sarah in prison for god knows how long shes a main character
Now it looks like we have to endure this Ritchie storyline that looks like its heading in the same direction
Can we have some different storyline for a change

I remember when a murder was a really big deal in soapland. Now, they're ten a penny and no one cares. That's across the Soap board though, not just Corrie.

This is my biggest gripe with Corrie.

Debbie's storyline is a bit different because that is long term so that will run concurrent with everything else but they do cram in far too much.
That is why I was so pissed off when they brought in Tim's cousin and the dreadful Lucy. Absolutely no reason for that. Concentrate on Joanie who's of an age where she should be getting up to mischief.

Also, what has happened to disappearing Cassie? Have we forgotten about that now?
