I've not been married yet (ahem, looking at you boyfriend...), but don't they do this whole thing prior to the ceremony where they take each of you off to a room to check you've not been coerced and ask a load of questions? I'm sure no one would let a surprise wedding where one half of the couple had no idea it was happening take place like this

ive been married a fair while but even though we had registrar service we still had a band reading where we had to see the registrar in person amd they did ask us a few questions. then on the day just before i went in i do now remember speaking with them before i 'offically walked down the aisle'

No. He was in the Rovers when he first met Dee Dee but then he turned up in the solicitors office after he'd had an issue with what turned out to be one of Carl's stolen cars.

I think that's even more feasible, as I don't see a relatively big name like Pauline McLynn wanting to be doing a role in a soap long term. Makes sense to me that she was brought in for a specific storyline for a set period of time.

Sue Johnson was and still is a big name and she stayed in Corrie for about 18 months.

It was to show a little more insight into her personality. Obviously she is really messed up “complicated.” Has come from a background of abuse (having arrived from Emmerdale, tied up, in the back of a van…) But also seemingly has been abusive to her own father, with control of his meds. And done lots of weird revenge type pranks to the good folk of Corrie.

Last night episode where Mal says to Bernie I'll leave you all alone if I can spend one night with you..... hasn't corrie been here before with pat felon and Izzy's mum (can't remember her name) but her husband owed him money so she slept with him to pay him off.

Anna wasn’t Izzy’s mum. Izzy’s mum is the one that used to be Joe Wick’s mum in EastEnders
