The police are only allowed to use techniques which have been approved, and must only use reasonable force for the perceived threat.Ridiculous that those 2 police officers needed one of the Dad’s in the ward to restrain him! Could have been a threat to other mums and babies.

A member of the public can just grab him round the neck, him, push him onto the floor, or whatever they like, and not really have to worry too much about repercussions.
At no point did he do anything which would've warranted them using much force, their hands were essentially tied by the prospect of being disciplined/sued/sacked.
