I feel so sad for my 4 year old he’s got his fist cold
Sore 😩 Myself & his dad have never had cold
Sores and we never kiss him on the lips. Does anyone know how he could have caught it? We don’t see much of family so I can’t think of anyone else who could have given him the virus.

Could it be spread by putting a toy in his mouth that another chid has mouthed?

Yes I think they can be spread via stuff like sharing food utensils and things like that.

I guess it possible he might have drank
Out of another child’s juice group at nursery possibly.
I think it must be painful he’s really off his food & drink 🙁

They are sore, poor little guy. I don't get them often now as an adult but bad ones can even make my lymph glands swell and everything, very uncomfortable.

Yes. The herpes virus is extremely contagious and can easily spread via saliva or skin to skin contact Or via touching items that have been touched by someone with the virus.

The coldsore virus can live off the body for quite a while so he could definitely have caught it from a toy or a cup or cutlery

Once you have HPV you usually have it for life. The virus lives dormant in the body and can then flare up from time to time thereafter. That’s why lots of people get a cold sore flare up when they are run down etc because the virus kicks up again if the immune system is running low
