Chronic illness support thread

I couldn't find a support thread for coping with general chronic illness, so I'm making this one. There are threads for specific conditions, but I know lots of people have several conditions or undiagnosed illness, and I wanted to make a thread to talk about the personal impact of being ill all the time, no matter what that illness is.

So I have been really ill with mysterious vomiting and dizziness for over a year now, on top of my regular fibromyalgia which I was diagnosed with years ago. I believe I've just figured out that it's POTS, which can cause nausea and fainting and other symptoms I have. I'm on the waiting list to be seen by the pain clinic as well.

I am trying to return to work and I've seen a job listing that I really want, but for the past 3 days I've had bad migraine and been violently sick several times, so I don't know whether I will even be able to do all the tasks for the application, let alone do a full time job. I'm prepared to ask for WFH and split shift, but the past few days have brought it home to me how bad this illness is.

Time for me to go and lie down again, but feel free to post anything you need to get off your chest 💖

Could the dizziness be vertigo? Which I have but have never vomited from it
I'm 99.9% sure it's POTS, where your blood pools in your legs so there is less blood flow to your head and organs. But thanks I will have a look into vertigo!
