Would it sicken anyone to know that I’ve basically finished my Christmas shopping… for those I haven’t bought yet, I know what I’m getting but can’t get them til closer to the time 🙊 even I think it’s too early 😂😂 but I love having a little bit of extra money for myself come Christmas time which I know is a luxury 🎄 I’ll save all my wrapping until Christmas time though as I love doing that as others have said with a Christmas film on and something festive to drink 🥰🎄

I offered my husband help with his side of the family and he just stared at me and said, I’ll do it closer to the time, as he is normal 😂😂
You can also enjoy Christmas activities more if you're not racing round in desperation in December trying to find a present for that person who's difficult to buy for.

Well I hope you’re all happy.
Not only have I done some Christmas shopping, I’ve also made a couple of gifts.
I’m blaming this thread. 😡

Worth mentioning, because not everyone I've told this to in real life knew, not that I'm trying to teach you how to suck eggs.... If you are looking for a discount code for any website, just put the website address in chatGPT and asked for a current discount code, that's how I got the code for the wax melts 😁

My brother and I always struggle on what to buy each other for Christmas. So for the past few years, we set ourselves a £30 budget for gifting each other. We write down about 15colours on to separate pieces of paper, scrunch them up and put them in a hat. We each pick one piece of paper from the hat and the colour written on the piece of paper is the colour of the gifts we have to buy each other. Last year, I picked white and he literally got £30 worth of white coloured gifts!! Our family think we're bonkers, but it's a little tradition we have now!

Going to have a 3 month old at Christmas so have bought all her things (minimal but her childhood is my parenthood so wanted to mark it still) and have made a dent on the husbands gifts as mat pay is direee. Only got 3 nephews to buy for as everyone else is just getting a Prosecco glass waved in their direction this year 💷
The first Christmas you are handed the role of magic maker for your child is incredible. Little bits or not it is magic to see them under the tree with their gifts x

5 more months (ish) until Christmas stuff will start appearing in shops 🥹🤣

Also did anyone see the home bargains April fools on Instagram today. Photos of Christmas stuff saying their 2025 range will be out soon. I was excited then realised it was April fools then felt embarrassed about being excited

It’s been a rubbish week and now there’s no chocolate in the house.
I will not raid the sweets from people’s presents.

Hey Christmas people.

I have come here to confess my sins. My hubby is the hardest person to buy for, and always says he doesn’t want or need anything.

But he is gadget obsessed, and ice cream obsessed and has always said when we are holiday that he would love a Mr Whippy machine at home.

Adding these things together, I have bit the bullet and bought him a Ninja Creami Swirl 🥳.

Expensive but I am just giving him this one big present he will love. That’s me on money lockdown for now, and no more Xmas shopping till Sept payday but at least my most difficult person is dealt with 😉.

Just to start the Xmas feeling a little bit sooner I have also bought myself a 100 day advent calendar 🤣

It’s pouring down with rain this morning, grey and so cosy. I’ve got a jar of wax melts from an advent calendar a couple of years ago so grabbed a couple and put them on in the kitchen and now the house smells like Christmas 🙊🎄 Now sat on the sofa with the dog and a hot coffee watching Corrie, best Saturday morning 😂

You can get one of those puzzle holder things? I can't remember what they're called 😅

We got one during lockdown during a jigsaw faze 😂 It's a rectangular bag with handles that you unzip and fold open and you do the puzzle on the inside. It has a special surface that keeps the pieces you've put together where you left them. When zipped up, it's quite thin, so you can store it anywhere, we used to keep ours under the sofa!
Can we all please pretend I wrote "phase" and not "faze" 😂😂😂

I can’t stand new year. I love before and after Christmas and I’m off all the way through, but actual new year eve, I can’t be arsed with. I’ll do my usual of having a few drinks and a takeaway, then going to bed before the bells. Have a big family dinner on New Year’s Day. I don’t mind that, but I’m just not into it the whole party thing and countdown. I find it quite sad actually. Maybe because I love Christmas so much and then it’s all over.

I cannot trust myself to buy Christmas treats this early to put away - I’d be replacing them multiple times 🤣
