I live on my own so I can’t blame anyone else if snacks go missing 👀😆 currently on a healthier eating journey through the NHS and have lost 3 and a half stone so far, but I’m allowing myself the week of Christmas to new year to have treats so I’ve been getting bits and putting them away where the presents are so they’re out of sight out of mind 😆

Met my friend in B&M 🤣 She was buying some wee Christmassy bits for her girls, she said oh it’s for their December 1st box. I said what’s that? She said she prefers to do that over a Christmas Eve box, as they then get the use of the the pyjamas, cups, clothes, jumper, baubles, plates etc all through December rather than give it on Christmas Eve where it’s not used for long. Thought that was a good idea. Thankfully I missed this trend as my teenagers are older. Just missed the Elf too. Happy Days 🤣

Sorry to keep going on about my puppy (I’m not actually sorry but just being polite) but I’ve just bought him an advent calendar and a cheese and crackers box (dog friendly). It took every will in my body not to get him the Barkcuterie board which I will probably most definitely get him nearer the time 🐶🎄

I keep meaning to join in this thread as I fuckkinnnnng love Christmas & my family get fed up with me trying to have conversations about it from like July onwards - even the 4yr old is like FFS.

However, today I managed to get the husband to engage in a chat about how we need to sort through the freezer in prep for christmas food etc & now I’m absolutely frikking buzzing 🥲

I also hate gonks and that elf on a shelf little fuck

My 20 year old stepson has come home after a few days away with his girlfriend.
“Are you still purging the house?”
Yes I am, it’s day 7. 🤣🤣
Nothing is safe. A good, thorough clear out, toys, clothes, cupboards before the kids all write their Xmas lists.
Although I’ve tipped out a toy box to put in keep/donate/bin piles. There’s things that haven’t been played with in months, even years that are suddenly everybody’s favourite and we can’t possibly part with 🙄

Drove past a house one evening this week with a Christmas tree up - decorations, lights, the works!

Bloody hell, I'm not a mum but that organised list makes me feel sweaty and stressed.

(I put some Baileys in my coffee this morning 😅)

Whoever recommended Sainsbury’s Cheese and Wine Pyjamas… You owe me a small fortune 🤣
Once I’d put mine in the basket, I realised they were MATCHING family pyjamas and the kids version are cheese and crackers! 🥹❤

Think I'm going to have to treat myself to this mug when I visit the shop in Ryde in November!

Frustration every year for me and my boys, we love it. Down at my mums we play quizzes, sometimes individual or split into teams. Love a good old fashioned game of ‘stop the bus’, a real family favourite, and if you pick the topics carefully, it’s good for most age groups.
Don’t really watch TV at mums, but in the morning I’ll have Christmas music on and that continues in mums; just in the background.
I am a soap fiend, so absolutely love all the soap Christmas specials, loving Christmas Eve, glass of Chardonnay and watch them all, I also come home from my mums on Christmas Day and watch them all on my lonesome as boys in their rooms by that point. Gavin and Stacey this year too!!! Also like to watch the Carol service at midnight on Christmas Eve when I’m putting the presents out. 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎄🎄🎄

I remember my mam saying to me “you know Santa isn’t real don’t you?” And I was like “yeah, but the tooth fairy is isn’t she?” As I couldn’t comprehend how they’d get the tooth from under my pillow without me waking up 🤣 I also have 3 older brothers and me and the one closest to my age would share a bedroom Xmas Eve when my nana stopped over and I remember one year being like I HEARD SLEIGH BELLS and he went along with it and we were peering out the curtains to look in the sky. Not long after that I found out the truth but I’ll always remember how magical that felt and how he went along with it for me 🩷

I’ve done most of my shopping, still need to get money put aside for my niece and nephews as I give them £20 each along with some chocolate and smellies. Will probably buy more for others though as I love buying presents for people 😆

I give them at work and they are like argh I didn't do you one I'm like I don't do it to get them back it makes me happy. I also do the kids for their classmates too I think I need to let go because my oldest is year 2 and I don't know if it's uncool to send cards in year 2 😂
Ah no they definitely send throughout primary school. One of the girls in year 4 decided to tell her classmates in theirs that they were bitches 🫣

Ok so at beginning of Sept I made a list all all the people (including pets) that I need to get Xmas gifts for and then I picked gift for each. Just now I have ordered the last of the gifts for people. So all that is left is the gifts for pets which I'll order in few weeks time. It's actually an even split of ppl and pets.
I also ordered wrapping paper. I have enough Xmas cards left over from last year to use this year.
I don't like Xmas tbh. Glad I got this part done already.
