Been working on these the last couple of weeks and finished the last one today.
My plan is to fill 3 of them with Christmas sweets, probably Celebrations, and give them to my mam and two grandmothers in early December so they can use them over the month.
The last one is for my brother’s girlfriend and I was thinking I could find a mini gift set in boots or something and put it inside.
So excited to give them 😊

Mine and my partners financial situation has dramatically changed *for the better* and this is the first year in a long time I feel like I can really enjoy Christmas and not feel guilt or worry!

I'm going to get a beauty calendar again this year but not sure which one. It's from around now until November I sit going through all the different ones and deciding. I forever change my mind.

In previous years I've had the following

Molton Brown - really rated it however got a lot of oils in it. Might get it this year though!
Kiehls - Again really rated it and it was great for trying out lots of their different products - I love kiehls for my skin.
Asos - This was decent for the price and used pretty much everything in it.
Next - The year I got it I loved it but I found the year after it was basically the same products but much more expensive
Boots - Good price for what you get but its always repetitive every year
M&S - Alot of different creams etc which I found I ended up giving to family members as I couldn't use them all
Look Fantastic - It was a good advent calendar but a bit of a let down with some of the products, a lot were all mini sizes that year - unsure if its been better since

:)
I think I'm going to get the perfume shop one. If you have a TFS membership which I do you can get 20% off. It's £96 but I've had a rubbish 6 weeks and I think I deserve it 🤣

Might be a divisive subject but what’s
everyone’s ranking of the 4 tubs?
For me it’s,
Celebrations are king.
Heroes closely follow.
Roses are ok.
Quality street can feck right off.
Quality Street
Celebrations - closely tied
Roses
Heroes, always the bottom of the pile 😂

Wouldn't care it always tends to be the savoury snacks that go first in this house!

My 11 year old is off sick from school today. She's watching the christmas chronicles, definitely my child 🥰
My 17 year old watched the Grinch yesterday 😂

I just wanted to say I absolutely love this thread. I'm throwing myself into Christmas prep as I'm 5 weeks recovering from a total abdominal hysterectomy which turned into kidney failure, 3 blood transfusions, heart monitoring and fluid on lungs - after 4 weeks in hospital I'm home and recovering and now I'm getting excited for Christmas with my babies. Thank you for the thread, I've enjoyed reading it this afternoon.

One of my favourite things about Christmas is the build up and the excitement and Christmas Eve is my favourite day. I also love (over) decorating for Christmas. My living room tree and decorations last year. New tree which was a challenge to put up 🤣

Christmas eve is such aa magical day as my children are still young. We usually do christmas eve boxes, a big breakfast (either at home or we go out), take the dog on a long walk as he doesn't really get one on Christmas day and the kids take scooters and bikes, me and my husband get posh Christmas coffees. Come home settle the kids with some activities from the Eve boxes whilst we do last bits, prepare the turkey etc. Ill make santa cookies with the kids and mulled wine. We have pulled pork baguettes for tea and crack open a chocolate tin. Bathbombs, santa stuff, kids in bed and then me and hubby have a cheeseboard and watch Christmas crap. My stepdaughter is older now so she is staying up with us for a bit and helping bring the the presents down etc. Honestly I love it such a wholesome family relaxed day.
Whyyyy am I being dragged to my in-laws at 9am to play games and ruin my relaxed Christmas eve. Someone tell me I'm being scrooge but I really don't want to go. Kids are gonna be hyped up on sugar all day and it's gonna be crap 😭

Last year I stayed at my mums on Christmas Eve, I was sent to bed at 10pm sharp for “Santa to come” (aka so she could put the presents out). I’m 29 🤣

Ok even I think I’ve slightly lost the plot and gone too far. I have booked not one, but two Santa Paws events at two separate venues on two separate dates for our puppy. I blame being off sick from work with a chest infection, there is not much to do. He gets a gift from Santa Paws too 🥹

I told my husband today I’d booked two and he’s currently despairing at my lack of ability to save money 😂

Edit: Oh also, I paid extra for the first one for a photo package 🙃

Put my name down for a local Christmas market for my little crafts that I make! Only started making things last year and just sell through Instagram as a bit extra money. It’s not confirmed yet but he said once a date/time is confirmed I should get a table as I’m high up enough on the list. Any excuse to buy some cute Christmassy stuff to decorate the table and already started making some Christmassy decorations tonight! Think I’ll get a cute little Christmas bowl and get some chocolate coins to go on the table, maybe a Christmassy table cloth and some other bits!

Do you buy all your Christmas treats at once or add something every week to your weekly food shop?
I add them weekly, then eat them all, then rebuy all at once in a panic just before the big day 😂

It’s so cold here today, I’m going to get wrapped up and visit The Range, Next etc and see what I can find!

I don't get the obsession with gonks either! Where did they even come from? They appeared one year and just never left 😅

Someone in my office has a little one that sits on her monitor and she changes it out depending on the season/holiday. I think it should be grounds for instant dismissal, personally 😂

Are there any current ‘themes’ you don’t like?

I cannot stand all the Grinch stuff. Hate it. Not a fan of ‘candy cane’ decorations in any shape or form. Also don’t like any character Christmas stuff eg Disney.
