- No
- They run an online store, but their main income is exploiting the children and generous Aussie benefits
- No, it's a control thing (see also matchng presents, clothes and specific colours assigned to each child)
- Apparently, but we never see them as they prefer not to film the children interacting with anyone outside the family...
This is an interesting point (specific colours). I’m from a big family and I never realised this is exactly what my mother did.
She too was obsessed with pregnancy/babies but not the kid part.

Wow. Came here as suggested from the aus influencer thread. This is the problem with content babies. I feel sorry for the older ones having to parent the younger ones which would definitely happen in such a large family. How old is she? What happens when she is past her breeding age?

Family tax benefit is calculated per child, per age bracket. As they get older, you receive less per child. The thing that probably works in their favour with the business is that the more children you have, the higher the income threshold is before the payment amount becomes reduced. The ceiling for 5 children is approx $180k. So they would be doing very well financially if they were on full benefits plus gaining income from the store and YouTube… they could also be sneaky and place income in the name of children so that their benefits wouldn’t be reduced..especially as the kids are “performing” on YouTube. It wouldn’t necessarily be a lie

It actually goes up the older they get up until they turn 16 😱 then they go onto youth allowance.

I just did the calculator (as a VERY rough guess!). Not bloody bad. Plus if any have autism diagnoses that’s an extra $138 a fortnight. but also with just very vague wage estimates because i have no idea obviously.

PS i’m not trying to be icky by looking up the estimate, just genuinely curious!! I truly cannot even imagine how to manage 9 kids let alone 10 😱 goes without saying no one wishes them any harm and everyone hopes her pregnancy goes well.

I love watching big families.

For this one it's for religious reasons:

---
They're also in Perth.
I've never heard of them. May just have a quick look.

I know there's Mel (yes they're all ours) from Melbourne who has 13 kids and one hell of a messy house.

Thanks for that. I don't have kids and wasn't sure how Centrelink worked with so many kids.

I don't think with all the costs to run the online store they would be making much profit. But as they run it from home, you can claim a lot of the electricity etc on tax.

How ridiculous. Look after the ones you already have. She has that addiction to pregnancy and birthing. I feel sorry for the other kids. I bet they feel annoyed by more babies coming. There's a point where you need to move onto the next phase.

Omg that is so much money in benefits! Each to their own but this makes me feel pretty yuck about the whole situation. It is a drain on the system and planet plus using the announcements and kids for content is gross.

The older kids were so far ahead when they were younger but idk now anymore. They would benefit going to school and get the attention they deserve. Maybe the triplets even more.
10 is a lot of children...

SURELY there is no more after this… far out.
I remember Chloe said in an older vlog that this is the biggest van Ro can drive on a normal license. If they need a bigger van or mini bus Ro will need a bus license.

The fixation or obsession with having so many kids. Chloe's made her life very public. Not everyone thinks 10 kids is just beautiful.

It will be really interesting to see how she copes as the children get older. She's really not ready for the teenage years, the expense, the attitude, the back chat, and it's really not that far away as Evan is 11 now. She copes now because the children are obedient and happy to go to the park, but it won't always be this easy, even the best behaved teens rebel and start to push the boundaries.

Also when the work becomes too difficult for Chloe to "teach" at home or the bigger kids start to become a nuisance, she won't be able to just send them to school. They're so far behind academically and have never had to deal with a proper school day. It's going to be an absolute nightmare, and the wholesome family image they've built will soon crumble.

Was a baker at Woolworths. I don't think he has worked there in a good 10 years.
I think he worked a little bit after the triplets were born from memory but with a million kids at home who are all homeschooled how could any parent work without one of them burning out.. the financial impact it must have not to mention the academic and social impact it has on them all living their lives from home…

Good point.

Besides a few trips to the park and meet up with the home-school group the kids don't have much social interaction. They are stuck with each other.

There's no way Chloe can cope if Ro had a job outside of the house. Chloe doesn't drive for one and Ro does a lot of cleaning around the house.

Oh god. She’s up to 10? This witch needs to stop breeding. A friend of mine grew up as one of nine and says she was so embarrassed going out with all her siblings cos ppl would just stare. Her parents were self made super wealthy professions, zero benefits. I can’t imagine breeding like this and relying on hand outs. It’s obscene

There’s also the Bonell family in AUS who have 16 kids.

The Duggars in the US, who have 19. Lots of scandal with them.

The Radfords in the UK have 22.
