Fathers Day is a weird one ain’t it like I know it’s a touchy subject for some. I don’t know my biological Dad so it always used to upset me but now we’ve got mini melon I forget about that and focus on mr melon having a nice day! He’s working this year though I’d never have got my mum a ‘to Mum on fathers day’ card I think that’s a bit weird, even though she was my only parent (and I don’t know why she’s never told me a thing about my biological dad) ain’t that what Mother’s Day is for!?

I had this girl on fb and I had to delete her cos one Father’s Day she was writing statuses all day like ‘FATHERS day HA WHATS ONE OF THEM’ and stuff like that. She was a proper u ok hun’er pm me babe

@Peaches_xox I think I’d ignore it to make a point, I get what you mean for little peaches, but it’s so unfair to not acknowledge you on Mother’s Day when I’m assuming you do most of the work. Good idea @watermelon sugar

Father’s Day is the same for me, my dad died when I was younger so I’ve never celebrated it the same but I’ve also never thought to get my mum a present/card for it? Omg I have a girl on fb too who always puts pics up of like sperm and that saying Happy Father’s Day/doing they post your mum your dad and you pics and it’s like I get it once is funny but she does it alllll the time so many daddy issues there. She’s a pm me hun too pain in the hole

My dad died nearly 10 years ago so il put flowers at the crem for him and then minis dads is a bit of a wick and he never bothers getting me anything for Mother’s Day but I’m being the bigger person and I’ve got something for mini to give him cos kids like that but I kept it cheap - 58p card from Asda and I made sure that it just said ‘happy fathers day’ rather than ‘awesome no 1 dad’ and all that balls. He chose him a present from the pta present room in school they arrange and that was £2.50 and a cheap box of chocs. That will do and it’s more than he deserves.

You are a better person than me . Sometimes you’ve got to be the bigger person defo. I bet your son was happy about the gifts for his dad so you did the right thing

Sweating my bean off here fellas! I went to the Aldi for deodorant and ice lollies. Got so carried away in the freezer section I forgot the deodorant. Hottest day of the year as well FML

My partner is driving me nuts this morning, it’s his day off today. We were meant to be meeting his parents and they’ve suggested going on these long walks, that are over an hours drive away, bare in mind it’s over 30degrees here. We have a 8 month old. I’ve refused and said no. It’s not fair on our baby, I originally agreed thinking we’d be doing something reasonable in his heat. We’ve had a huge heated argument and now I don’t know what to do because I have his mum texting me now suggesting the beach like no I’m pissed off now and there is still no shade there for baby haha

update - there’s covid in the ex’s household now so I don’t have to bring mini til next weekend now.

Quite happy not to be driving all afternoon to be honest especially in this hell Fire temp.

oh no it’s far too hot! Get a nice paddling pool for baby and have a nice day in the garden!

My dad walked out on us and divorced my mum after 7 months… they were married 35 years. He left her for some essex woman who’s eyebrows look like the M on McDonald’s sign. He nearly left us homeless. Took everything and turned our worlds upside down, tore my mum into absolute pieces. I will never forgive him for what he did to her. I’m tearing up even writing this. Took money from me and my brother to live up to this ‘wealthy man’ image to impress his new bird. I hate him. So Father’s Day is nothing to me. Happy Mother’s Day to my mum instead

First dog down and I’m doing okay, it says it’s 26 degrees and will be until 2pm when it goes down to 24 so hopefully I’ll be okay for the rest of the day so glad I bought some bicycle shorts they’re a vibe
