I have a problem my lovely friends.
A colleague, very young, a bit tech naïve, uploaded a video of herself to Snapchat stories, when it was obviously meant to be private.
90 seconds later, before she deleted it, it had been saved and shared with virtually the entire workforce. We work in a major health and fitness chain.
She deleted it but the girl who saved it, showed it to EVERYONE. Including the manager. I didn’t see it, this is hearsay.
Surely this is a crime? The girl is humiliated and off sick with stress. The sharer thinks she’s done nothing wrong.

A private video meant for her boyfriend, not the world. I’m not describing it but imagine amateur soft porn.
Unfortunately it’s not a crime/even a disciplinary offence (usually) to share social media posts, even if they were uploaded in error. It’s a big argument for not having colleagues on social media so that these things can’t then be traced back to you at work. I can only imagine how that poor girl is feeling and it was really awful for your other colleague to have saved it/shared it with everyone but it’s a life lesson in being careful about who you connect with outside of work
A friend came round, my mum put on a very impressive spread.. and we had burgers & chicken on the bbq.. plus loads more picky bits and yummy stuff. It was a very lovely evening. I was supposed to go out to celebrate my boyfriends work mates birthday but my bf couldn’t be bothered to go out in the end which is absolutely fine by me because I am definitely on the same page tonight. I fell asleep before my friend came round earlier and it was a proper deep sleep nap, I woke up and just felt tired ever since.. plus I’ve had a crappy headache all night so I’m glad for the Saturday night in and in bed early.

I came here to say the same. Clearly the person made an error by posting it to everyone. That girl should be sacked for sharing it
I’m not a lawyer but my understanding is that if it is in the public domain, sharing it is not a criminal act (although it is obviously morally reprehensible).

All I’m saying is that girl who shared it is a witch. How mortifying. The girl who’s content it is should just own it. We all have sex, we all do kinky tit, nothing to be embarrassed about. Can’t say I wouldn’t be embarrassed but it’s not like she intended for it to be shared with the entire workplace!

🫢 when I first had Snapchat I was active on it and sending pics to my mr before we lived together, I accidentally uploaded a 30 second long video of me completely naked to my Snapchat story. Within minutes of it being up there people were calling and texting me like crazy to tell me what I did, I was in the shower and in that 30 minute period over 50 people viewed my Snapchat story but not one person took a screenshot or tried to screen record the video. People were asking if I was alright and alerting me to the fact it was there. I was so embarrassed I felt sick. That girl is bloody awful for sharing it. Some people
