Don't you just love it when work colleagues try to tell you how to conduct your personal life! I would have ended the call on him and said "sorry signal is bad here!".
I work with a woman who is a younger than me and a grade above me so she likes to make my life difficult. The other week when it was my birthday she said to me “does it not bother you that you’re 32 and only a grade X?” And then this morning in our weekly catch up, someone said I looked tired and she pipes in “You know Belle, probably been on the booze all weekend!”

) hates women and it is so obvious at work. Favours the men and is frosty with women about everything. F yoouuuuuu 
there was no real reason. Id worked at this company for about 4 months before I met her as she worked from home. We spoke a few times on whatsapp but it was nothing bad. Just general work chat and then she was all “You remind me of me 5 years ago and it’s a really bad way to be” “You have so much maturing to do” “You’re such a brat” she has made one person leave and another is on the verge of leaving. However she is leaving herself in May! I don’t mind her because she makes my job so easy, she doesn’t like to tell me if i’ve done anything wrong and goes to her manager who then takes my side because he’s just like well you’re her manager so why are u telling me?
Same - I have really good friends from my last job but where I am now, I don’t feel I can trust anyone so I try to keep a distance from becoming too friendly with anyone. If I could get away with removing them all from FB etc I would.
