I’m not feeling myself at all lately

I feel like I’m just existing and I don’t feel myself or even know who I am. I spend a lot of time in silence and then my bf says I’m being weird. I have no appetite either. Mums cooking a roast and I’m already thinking of my excuse to not eat it. I don’t feel sad exactly just really really empty. I’ve just started therapy so I’m hoping that will help but I’m wondering if I need anti depressants or something to help or am I being dramatic?!

plus West Ham are losing at the mo to crappy old Tottenham. What a time to be alive.

Lots of love @Peaches_xox It's not dramatic to feel how you feel. Do you have a good relationship with your GP? Maybe talking to them about how you feel could give you some clarity on meds or no meds. You have had a lot to deal with recently, MIL living with you, working from home, little peaches being poorly, a new job. It is a lot.

Sometimes just therapy can help enough, but sometimes we need a med alongside it to help boost us. You don't deserve to feel this way though, I'd start with just talking to your GP and seeing what they suggest.

Be kind to you x

@Peaches_xox I'm a great believer in meds tbh. You would take painkillers if you were in pain. This is similar i feel.
Give meds a try. Some people find they work great others need more but you don't know unless you try ❤

at the risk of sounding dramatic, I’m not sure I’d even be here without my anti depressants - I was in a really bad place before and whilst I am still an an anxious mess most of the time, I’m so much better then I would be without them. They’re not for everyone but maybe have a chat with your gp and start on the lowest possible dose to help you while you’re going through therapy. Sending you loads of love x

Sorry your feeling like this @Peaches_xox your definitely not being dramatic. You’ve been through a lot the past few months I would speak to your doctor and maybe try some medication and see if that helps.

@Peaches_xox you definitely are not being dramatic, sorry you’ve been feeling this way. hopefully the therapy will help and definitely talking to friends/family as they will then know how to interact with you eg if to leave you alone or to offer advice.
also we will always listen and try to help 🤗

This.

One of my biggest regrets is not starting meds when I should have.

What shampoo/conditioner do you guys use? I like the L’Oréal dream lengths at the moment

Ah guys you always make me cry when I tell you my problems and you tell me I’m not crazy or dramatic 😅 I have a brand new drs surgery which I’ve not been too for myself but I’m gonna give them a call tomorrow.

I use Philip Kingsley flaky itchy scalp shampoo and Philip Kingsley moisture balancing conditioner but tbh they were quite expensive and I don’t even like how they make my hair feel. Give me herbal essences any day!

I have about 8 shampoos on rotation. I used to buy the newest one even though I didn’t need it. i found a bottle of something but forgot the name of it. It’s got a brown lid 🤣 I wash my hair every day so I save the posh shampoos for special occasions 😂

That’s what I was thinking but I didn’t want to be the one to say it 😂 I don’t want to tell you guys how often I wash my hair because you’ll think I’m proper grubby. I have too much hair to wash it every day

I have loads of hair too! I wash mine every 3 days but sometimes I stretch it to 4 and I have been known to go an entire week without washing it before

sending hugs to you @Peaches_xox 🤗. I'm always switching and swapping my shampoos as Im on the hunt for one to moisture my hair. I'm currently using Tresemme that I got from Home bargains its ok I want to try the Ouai one though but its £20 a bottle. I wash my hair once or twice a week.

I hate the feel of anything other than fresh clean hair. My hair always feels horrid when it’s been anything more than a day and a half since a wash. clean hair FTW

I’ve had a glass of wine and I’m feeling a lot of feelings tonight. For reasons I can’t explain, I started thinking about the way my ex used to look into my eyes before we kissed and now I’m feeling like 💩 because I don’t have that any more and I miss it. Life lesson; don’t drink and think.

I used to wash my hair every day but I now try any go every 3 days but it’s hard. I’ve only got bob length hair though so it doesn’t take long to dry.
I’ve been using Philip Kingsley but I didn’t rate it I’ve just ordered a tigi bed head recovery one as my hair is dyed and I straighten it so isn’t in great condition.

I wash mine every other day and use head and shoulders because I get dry itchy scalp if I use anything else!
