My nans house all she had to entertain us was a load of taped VHS' with recordings of Flash Gordon, the Littlest Hobo, tit wild west's that went on all day and creepy, ancient, anthropomorphic cartoons which quite frankly terrified me.

This is a long shot but I remember a programme from the 60s but have no clue what it was called so I’m hoping someone else may do! It was American - and started with a flag pole being raised on a wooden telegraph type post in a log cabin enclosure - there was a gang of children - one little dark haired girl with long plaits - the only adult I remember was a dark haired man in a cowboy hat - they may have been a scout troupe ?? Any other tattlers of a certain age remember this?
I really enjoyed the tv adaptations of children's classic novels the BBC did in the 70s

Remember the Enchanted Castle? I was spooked by that scene where they do a stage show with an audience of made-up dummies which then come to life and start clapping.

I loved the enchanted castle, didn’t they climb into the statues as well? Which obviously as a kid I wanted to do!! I’m sure I had the book, I must go and have a look on amazon
Isy Suttie made an immersive theatre version of Knightmare a few years ago, i was so annoyed I couldn't get tickets!

Does anyone remember Spellbinder? I just found it on YouTube. It was an Australian/Polish production where a boy, Paul, falls into a parallel world ruled by the Spellbinders who have "flying ships" and make their people believe they have super powers when it's all just science.
I think I was about 15 when this was shown and even though I didn't enjoy sci-fi (and still don't) I was pretty impressed with it
