I just have to say what a wonderful mum I think she is. She is doing so brilliantly making life normal for the boys while supporting her partner. I feel so awful for her. They are such a sweet family.

Unpopular opinion.
awful to what’s she’s going through and her boys too.
But I don’t get the pouting and full face of make up.
Putting on a brave face for her boys. Acting how she always has to keep things as normal as possible. I do hope you read here Chelsea and know how 99.9% of us offer nothing but support for you and your family.

Probably to try and keep things normal for the boys, well as normal as she can considering the circumstances. Must be awful at the momemt when she probably wants to just curl up in bed. There are plenty of people online to critique but Chelsea isn't one.

It has just occurred to me that maybe all the Easter family days that everyone is posting on IG is just too much for her. I am sat here feeling like the most rubbish mum and failure at family life, for my broken family, for so many failings as a parent and person, because of the continual flow of all the happy families on Instagram that it just hit me…. Chelsea and those boys 😞 You’re amazing Chelsea. We wish you and your boys all the power and calm, lots of calm and time to grieve now. Stay strong. 🙏

Aw my heart broke a bit for her there when I saw her mattress on the boys floor 😪
What a poor wee soul, she really is an incredible person & amazing Mummy. Everything is crossed Matt gets through this. I'm glad she has a good family close

Sad update on Matt, the cancer has spread even further and there's no more treatment he can have, just managing his pain 😥

My heart aches for Chelsea and Matt. On her Insta stories she says they have an appointment tomorrow to discuss treatment. It makes me so angry that they have been dealt this cruel blow, I just want to wrap her up in a huge hug 💔

She’s trying hard to keep life normal for the boys when she most likely wants to fall apart. She really is an amazing mum and wife.
Have loved seeing Harley and Houston the last couple of days. They really brighten up your day.

A child needing to go to hospital, husband doing chemo, working and all this a few weeks before Christmas. I literally don’t know how she does it.

I’m hoping for a miracle with Matt, if anyone deserves it that family do

Thinking of Chelsea and her boys today and hoping they're OK. Time has passed but still stunned by the audacity of the poster criticising her for putting a bit of slap on. Shame on you.

The strength of this woman is unbelievable. She does so much with the boys whilst caring for matt, he's in and out of hospital yet it seems she carries on and tries to keep things as normal as possible I wish them all so much love and hope ❤
Absolutely heartbreaking for them.... She is an amazing young woman - I think we forget she is only very early 30's and she has all this on her shoulders, plus caring for Matt, the boys (also Matts older son), work, and generally keeping things as normal as she can for the kids..... life is so bloody unfair sometimes :( x

ETA - also Matt is a really strong person too..... he must obviously be in pain but putting that aside so he can go to Disney with Chelsea and the boys to create precious memories x x

Although Matt is obviously very poorly and in a wheelchair, it's so lovely to see all of them enjoying making memories at Disneyland Paris... 🩵🩵

Over the moon to read Chelsea's post tonight and to see Matt looking so much better...... long may he continue to improve.....

She's bloody amazing...... such a strong little lady the way she has handled all of this with dignity and still made all the boys her priority..... they deserve some good news so I'm glad to see things are improving for them <3

My friend was 36 when her husband dropped down dead. I remember her turning up to sob in my house so her kids wouldn’t see that. Then she gathered herself together to go home and do her best for her kids. They were traumatised losing her husband their dad. She often wanted to stay in bed and not get out of the bed ever but she had two children who needed her.

If Chelsea wants to put on make up to cover how awful she feels then so be it. Those little boys are so young and need their mum even though she’s going through immense pain and grief herself. There is a great deal of loneliness in becoming a single parent and navigating that life as a widow knowing there is no coming back from it. Nothing can ever replace Matt and it’s very very early days in their journey of navigating the grief.
