Thoughts and opinions on shein? I only ever heard bad quality reviews but a colleague (who never shuts up) was going on about it the other day and completely raved about it.

I like the elf products, I use their primer and setting spray. Cheap and cheerful too :)
I have an elf primer, and a soft green eye pencil which I love … have given up the black eyeliner as this seems more flattering and easy to apply. All amazing prices, I watch sophdoeslife a lot on YouTube and she uses elf often.

It's too cheap, so cheap you know there has to be exploitation involved. :( I think some people rave about it because they could get a whole capsule wardrobe for less than 100 quid. I have also seen a few Shein dresses in charity shops and the fabric is often awful polyester that somehow still bobbles up and feels rough to the touch, and any lacy trims etc they use looks cheap and rough to touch. I'm not sure their items are quality to be honest. Honestly the only affordable place near me (that isn't Primark) that does decent quality clothes is Sainsbury's. Their tshirts and tops are alright.

It’s hit and miss - some of it’d awful. But I’ve genuinely got some pieces I absolutely love.

I love shein. I’m yet to get anything from it that is bad. Some really comfy tshirt dresses which are perfect for travelling. Their gym stuff is pretty decent too as are their hoodies. I have some really nice dresses from there too and they’ve washed so well :)

I really do rate the primer myself, it’s better than some of the high end stuff I’ve bought in the past. I have their setting spray too which I bought to try as I normally use morphe or urban decay and have no complaints, it’s coconut smelling too so smells lovely :)

I agree with exploitation but I think shops like new look, Stradivarius, PLT etc aren't much better in terms of that and the quality of clothes is similar but you pay so much more for it. Like come on, 20 quid for a basic top from new look?? I have got really good stuff from shein, but yeah it's definitely not the most ethical choice you can make. No fast fashion will be unfortunately.

Just found out about catrice makeup and nail varnish and am loving the eyeliners. I'd heard the nail polish with their 10-day top coat was good, but I was disappointed in that. It was really easy to apply and looked nice but after two days it all suddenly just peeled off at once.

Biovene skincare - I’ve noticed it’s in Home Bargains but I’ve bought it online before. Really really good quality serums and face creams. The sheet masks are lovely too and about 70p!

Take a look at the mascaras if you haven't already! They are some of the best, i don't think I used another brand for at least ten years now.

Yes they often have a few Inkey List products in Home Bargains. I got the PCA Bond Repair hair treatment for £3.50 a few weeks ago and it seems to have done wonders for my damaged hair.
Does anybody have any recommendations for good value face cleansers? Ideally one that’ll do a good job at removing makeup! I’ve been using an expensive one for years but really not sure it’s worth it, given it’s just rinsed off straight away.

I have the Inkey List Centella and Green Tea cleanser to use next which I bought in Home Bargains. I've nearly finished the Garnier Micellar Gel Cleanser which is great as it doesn't break my skin out and is about £2.50 in Savers.
