We go to the library every Monday and I love it. Anyone who fancies a bit of half term fun should read “The Shelf”. So good! Also you can usually ask for specific books and they’ll order them in- I just ordered the Hunger Games prequel before the movie comes out, although there’s a little wait list I’ve been told, then it comes from the city library. Mine also has free WiFi and cheap printing facilities

Oh gosh I thought it pretty varied but now I’m interested in what your genre of preference is? Maybe you can broaden my reading horizons if you have any recommendations
Well, I've just finished reading Denise Van Outens life story A Bit of Me - not someone I know much about but a page turner. I've also read The Alan Rickman Diaries, Tina Brown's The Vanity Fair Diaries and the Palace Papers, Life's What You Make It - Mr perfect Philip Schofield's life story 🤢🤮
Also Death in St Petersburg Tasha Ashley (love these). I also got a book from Poundland that I love one of the Borrow a Bookshop series and I've read another in the series. I'm a massive Trisha Ashley fan which I suppose might be classed as chick-lit?
Basically I just read anything that sounds interesting when I pick the book up.
I quickly forget (menopause brain) what I've read, though which can be annoying. For example recently I forgot why George Michael sent Denise Van Outen flowers to say he was thinking of her, when she went through a bad time - so frustrating! 😄

Oh I think you might find more common ground than you think. And there’s a few of us forgetful readers there. I’m even worse than you though, I don’t even remember reading most of the books I’ve read. Even reading the synopsis doesn’t help. Totally blank slate. 😂

I've just remembered I read that you can use their Ancestry Site for free to look into your family tree.

A Good Heart is Hard to Find is on sale for 99p on kindle deals. I’m focusing on romantic reads this summer. This might be perfectly timed!

You're obviously a person if great taste ♥♥♥
And her latest book is out next month 💕💕💕💥🎉🎉🎊🎇🎆🥳🎈📖

It's quite sad going in shops seeing her books and not being able to buy them again 😟🙄😄
I know, I’m so excited 😍 the last one was so cosy and adorable. I will probably have to wait for my birthday though.

Barry M "Gelly" nail polishes are really good and look like gel polish without needing a lamp, etc. to dry them (which is bad for you anyway, it's basically like putting your hands under a sunbed!) They are £3.99 each so a lot cheaper than Essie, OPI etc. that also have gel ranges
i have to agree! been using them for years and years ! also used essie and opi many times on myself and others and i have to say i prefer essie gelly!

MyProtein leggings in a sale. I got 5 pairs (and a packet of crisp 🤣) for less than the price of one pair from Tala or GymShark. I buy neutrals so they look the same as the logo’s hidden and they wear & wash well.

Maybelline Eraser concealer is amazing and vegan, I don’t bother with high-end now because the formula and application is spot on.

I also picked up three body sprays in Tesco the other day for the hell of it because they were 75p. I don’t even use body spray but this one is so nice, just sprayed it with Sol de Janeiro #40 and smell like 🍬

What’s the fit of the leggings like? I need new gym leggings as I’ve dropped a size but I’m still a big girl

I’ve found them reliable though their comfiness depends on the style. The Power leggings suck you in but feel good for a workout. Any of the seamless types are my fave to wear all day, they’re high-waisted and make your bum look great. I bought a pair for a fiver years ago and only discovered a hole the other day. I have a few of the curve ones (impulse buys) but never reach for them as the waistband is stiffer and branded. I’m a size 8 and buy an XS, I’ve seen reviewers say they’re a 10 and get S so think they go up to an 18/XXL. Worth a punt when they have 80% off.

Maybelline is the best, more affordable make-up, in my opinion; their foundations are excellent.

Aldi essentials milk chocolate is on par with Galaxy & like 30p

The 99p little silicone eye masks are just as good as the spenny ones

I try to use vegan beauty products and have bought H&Ms vegan and natural nail polish and I am impressed. It goes on well and has lasted three days so far when I usually chip my nails within 24 hrs. They’re only £5.99 so much cheaper than the usual natural nail polishes which can be more than double.

Usually Ikea candles are rit but I picked up two the other day and holy tit, they smell good.

I got 'Avmala' (green wax, smells like cedar, eucalyptus and pine) as part of my friend's housewarming gift, and 'Jamlik' for myself (white wax, smells like a very rich vanilla, almost rice pudding like) and they only cost €3 for the 40h of burn time version.
