Found a new cheap thing I like - the local college salon staffed by hairdressing students.

Had a full head of highlights with a cut and style and they did a brilliant job. I have dark hair and the highlights are this gorgeous toffee colour, thrilled to bits with them! They’re blended really well, I was scared they’d be stripy or chunky but needn’t have worried.
Also had a significant chop, think underboob length cut to shoulder length and it looks great , very happy with it.

The whole lot cost £32. Trips to my usual hairdresser have cost £200+ in the past!
Totally recommend seeing if your local college has anything like this.

They’ve just opened up this at the college near us, for £10 you can have a massage or a facial and a cuppa. Don’t mind if I bloody do.

All the random foreign hams and meats in Lidl - they are sooo nice and more interesting than just ham.

Aldi's chocolate oatie biscuits are nicer than Hobnobs. Their Lacura moisturising handwash is amazing value and lasts ages, 500ml for 65p. M&S do their own 50/50 bread for 65p too, cheaper than Kingsmill and tastes lovely.

Asda £4 t shirt bras are excellent - comfy and they wash well and you can replace them when needed

Aldi baby wipes are the best ones I’ve used - I’ve tried them all and Aldi ones win hands down

also, Tesco toilet cleaner is brilliant and something ridiculous like 40p!

Bodyform sanitary towels are great, 89p in Savers.

Soda crystals are £1 a bag and sort out blocked/slow running sinks or showers easily. Pour a decent amount over and rinse through with boiling water. Also good for cleaning a smelly washing machine, put a cupful in the drum and rub on a high heat.

Radox salts for £1 a box are just as good as any of those fancy bath salts and great for muscle aches.

Boots handwash is brilliant for much cheapness, I've got the lime just now which is so zingy and the raspberry is great too.

E-cloths might seem expensive to buy but last forever and you can use just with water. I have cleaning cloths and drying cloths. Works on all my kitchen surfaces, mirrors, dusting, cleaning sinks and toilets, windows etc. No smearing and can just he chucked in the washing machine. I've got a floor mop too, velcros off and into the machine.

Tu clothing. I am a former clothes horse, I used to go to Oxford Street every Friday. I used to spend a lot of money on clothes per month. But I have fallen out of love with shopping so TU clothing, which I pick up with a big shop in Sainsbury’s, is all I seem to wear these days. Shops like M&S have dumbed down their quality so I don’t think I am missing out. (I occasionally buy something in an independent shop but I just can’t be arsed these days in schlepping to shops whose offerings are badly made and expensive). Their t-shirts are cheaper and better quality than M&S. Never in a million years would I think that I would be buying most of my wardrobe from Sainsburys.

Agreed. Tu is good quality, and every month or so, there seems to be a 25% off week, which is when I tend to pick stuff up.

I hate overly sweet perfumes and most perfumes in general. I also wouldn't spend over 30£ on a perfume

I found these in Zara - Lightly Bloom and Deep Garden. Amazing! Two perfumes £13. Lightly bloom smells so fresh and clean and deep garden has a bit more depth for night time

I love the little pots of instant mash you get in B&M- think they’re about 39p?! Add water and leave for a bit like a pot noodle…sprinkle some salt and mix in butter and cheese

Here’s a confession! I love them too! I buy a few each month and serve them with my toddlers tea. He loves mashed potato and I fucking HATE making it. I mix in a bit of mustard and butter.

I agree on ketchup but Heinz Mayo is something i can't negotiate on.

Heinz is the best mayo by miles and always has been. Tastes like proper mayo.

Sometimes the French mayonnaise you can get in jars is good too though.

I've recently tried some Amazon own brand super cheap shower gel, shampoo, conditioner & hand wash. They are super cheap prices and are really good at foaming & cleaning!
They come in different scent options & hair types.
The brand name is "by Amazon". They're way cheaper then the own brands of like Tesco & Boots etc.
