I've just finished the Sky documentary about the case, boring doc to be honest. But to me the mother is 100% guilty but the prosecution failed to present the proper evidence to convince the jury. The govt failed that little girl in the trial.

I believe everyone knows she was guilty and complicit in Caylee's death but the court outcome was correct in terms of the law. They did not prove their case and didn't offer a different charge that they could prove.
In the words of A Few Good Men, 'It doesn't matter what I believe. It only matters what I can prove'
I don't know if the rules of double jeopardy only apply to the very specific charge or if they would cover similar charges but I can't see her every being prosecuted.

My personal view is that Caylee's death was unintentional but foreseeable. I believe she was neglected or sedated, something along those lines; Casey caused her death. She didn't set out to kill her that day but would have known her actions could have that outcome, almost, passively killing her. Once she was dead, Casey's only concern was herself. She is absolute scum.

Does this case still play on anyone’s mind?
it still haunts me to this day that no one has been prosecuted for this little girls murder.
I believe Casey got away with murder 💔

I'm in the middle of watching her documentary atm - she's quite the actress, I'll give her that. She's admitted numerous times herself that she's an out-and-out liar, and that was probably the only truthful statement she's ever uttered.

Even if what she said was true about the child drowning and her father being responsible - what the hell was she doing out partying days after that? How this woman was acquitted is beyond me.

She didn't report her daughter missing for a whole month, and even then it wasn't her, it was her mother who reported it. Someone in the crowd outside the parents' house had a placard saying: 'I wouldn't let my dog go missing for a month without reporting it'. And all I could think was ... A MONTH?! If my dog went missing for 20 minutes I'd be on the phone reporting it to everyone and anyone I could think of - and that's only because I'd have spent those 20 minutes searching the house, the garden and the streets. Jesus, I'd be out of my mind with worry, no-one would be able to get a word of sense out of me.

Interesting that her father passed the lie-detector test, I thought he might - I was hoping he would. I don't believe a word of her supposed sexual abuse from her father & brother, nor do I believe she was drugged and raped, resulting in her conceiving Caylee. I feel desperately sad for Caylee's grandmother and I hope this won't be filed under 'unsolved mysteries' for much longer. Caylee needs justice, and however she died needs further intense investigation.

Oh my God, that poor, beautiful little girl.

How on earth did the mother get away with this. Is she just out there living her life now? Has she had to change identity?

So happy to see people who are old enough to remember the case jumping to inform everyone immediately. She's such a mad narc that she probably thinks tiktok would give her the Luigi treatment.

The defense managed to instill an eliminate of doubt into the jury by saying it could have been her dad. Fcuking disgusting.

was her father implicated? or im probably misremebering it
Casey's lawyer went on Nancy Grace or some other show saying he'd abused Casey, however they never brought it up in court or provided any evidence. It was just bollocks from Casey to try and colour public opinion, create some reasonable doubt and create a smokescreen. Just like her inventing the nanny, and inventing a job at Universal studios. She is a pathological liar and everything that comes out of her mouth is bullshit.

Casey did it, there is no other possibility.

ETA: I didn't realise this was an old thread, lol.

I can’t remember the exact details but they basically over charged her. So it was along the lines of, they knew she was responsible for the death, but they couldn’t say for sure it was premeditated (or whatever the exotic details of the charg were) so they couldn’t find her guilty of what she was being charged with and there was no other option on which to convict.

I'm watching the documentary now. It makes my blood boil, she is such a liar!!! She didn't report her daughter missing for 31 days, then lies her arse off right off the bat.

I can totally see why the jury didn’t go with a guilty verdict - one they shouldn’t of had a death sentence, they also never provided a good reason why, how or where this took place. I also agree it was more accidental rather than a cold murder ❤

she can’t have a job and I don’t really think she goes out anywhere. Think she lives with a friend but she is happy enough with her life. She’s doing better than poor little Caylee anyway 😢

I'm on the 3rd episode. She's making out like her dad was a p.edo who k!lled Caylee during abuse. She is an absolute nutjob. Her constant delusional lying and story telling is beyond irritating. She is totally projecting her self hate onto her dad.

I barely made it through the first episode of her documentary, it was just all such obvious lies, one big performance from her.

It's one of the most awful errors of justice that she isn't rotting in prison right now.

I’m absolutely baffled by this woman. I’ve just finished the documentary and only knew vaguely about the case. Just that a little girl had died and the mum hadn’t reported her missing and was then accused of her murder. I just can’t believe how much she lies?!
