Yes. But 10 years age difference so maybe they didn't connect as siblings. Was that her older sister in the documentary? They didn’t seem close at all
I don’t know, I think there was as much chance as any that she would’ve struggled hard with lockdown as we all did and not having any jobs to distract herself with. I think sadly with her history of attempts and mental health issues, if it wasn’t the attempt that ultimately led to her death that did it, it was going to be one further down the line. After watching the documentary I just feel conflicted on it all and like most things, none of it is black and white. Was she clearly troubled and needed real intervention to get her drinking and emotions in control? Yes. Should she have been punished for hitting Lewis? Yes. But I also do believe that the police wanted to make an example of her and the press hounded her in her final weeks too. The saddest part for me really is that once lockdown and covid hit it would have all gone away fast, the press would have moved on with a pandemic to focus on, the paps wouldn’t be able to be stationed outside her house and she would have had the chance to really step back and get the help she needed. Ultimately it’s incredibly tragic and I feel terribly for her mum, but she needs to find a way to move on and put this behind her for her sake and the sake of her remaining children.
It’s a classic thing all the celebs do. Check into the priory or wherever for a bit of sympathy but it works!Perhaps they did of course, but I’m surprised those around didn’t use that as a way to convince her to get help - it sounds awful but saying to her “look if you check yourself in somewhere it will get you some sympathy” could well have helped convince her, and would have kept her safe. Hindsight is a powerful thing though I guess.
Ya I agree I think lockdown wouldn’t have done her mental health any good at all. She needed to be surrounded by friends at all times and that wasn’t going to be able to happen with the restrictions in place. She probably would have felt even more lost and alone. Although the court case wouldn’t have been front page news any longer it was probably just going to drag out the enviable for her and would have given her more time to overthink but this time in total isolation.I don’t know, I think there was as much chance as any that she would’ve struggled hard with lockdown as we all did and not having any jobs to distract herself with. I think sadly with her history of attempts and mental health issues, if it wasn’t the attempt that ultimately led to her death that did it, it was going to be one further down the line.
I’ve seen a podcast of him talking about it, no idea who’s podcast it wasYou have to give Lewis credit where it’s due to be fair. In the five years since her death, I don’t think he’s ever done even one media interview or sob story or even shared anything online about what went on or divulged any details. There’s many a z lister who would have milked what happened for all it’s worth and done interviews galore, written books and completely capitalised on what went on. His biggest crime really seems to be moving on with his life?
I saw that today. Think he's friends with the podcast guy. He was very respectful I thought.I’ve seen a podcast of him talking about it, no idea who’s podcast it was
ETA apparently it was control the uncontrollables just over a year after she passed
So much to unpack here. Thanks for sharing. Andrew Brady went on to serve time for harassing that Dan Wootton, not sure if he’s still serving that time.I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole because there was just something so off about her mum on the show. Happened upon the cps review for anyone who’s missed it and, wow, eye opening
Also found her mother’s comments to the Di who asked for the CPS to reconsider. Very strange for a grieving mother to refer to Caroline as “that girl killed herself because you put an appeal through”
Andrew seems so odd because they mention at one point in the documentary that he went from posting an NDA an saying abuse has no gender when she was first arrested to then hitting out at the media when she died?So much to unpack here. Thanks for sharing. Andrew Brady went on to serve time for harassing that Dan Wootton, not sure if he’s still serving that time.
