I saw one of Holly’s Tik Toks where she found out from her notes that she may have cancer in her cervix too. She had received a letter asking her to attend for a scan with a full bladder and didn’t know why - she then got something from the hospital that said they had discussed with her the possibility of a spread to the cervix…except they hadn’t.

There’s a really descriptive word where I’m from - scunnered - and that’s how Lizzie looks to me. Just absolutely done in, light gone out the eyes, fed up and I can’t say I blame her. I think she’s not coming on as much because she wants to be upbeat and positive and I get the feeling she’s worried that if she starts crying, she’ll never stop. I wish things were different for Holly and Lizzie and their families and like everyone else here, I wish cancer wasn’t a thing that has caused untold heartache to so, so many families ❤❤❤
Holly's cervix scan came back clear

I just looked back at Nicky's IG and that's when things took a sharp turn for the worse. If Lizzi became very unwell, could she go to A&E or would she have to consult the hospital she's having this treatment from as it's private and she's paying - I can't see her page so just going by whats been said in here. Does her NHS hospital have any dealings with her anymore for scans, bloods, etc?

Lizzie is on a ckd inhibitor not chemo and so the neutrophils will recover quickly - different effect to chemo.

Think its a clinical trial she said shes got on at the marsden so she said shes very lucky as shes still got the option to then pay for private treatment

She's not paying. It's a new trial she's on.

Either way, NHS would treat her, yes.

She’s on a new trial atm so not private. It is worrying though as already mentioned, Nicky started like this. Her body just couldn’t cope with more treatment.

She could go to her local A&E and they would consult with her team who she is under to treat her, she may find they would want her in the hospital near to them if she had to be admitted but she'd be still be classed as someone who needed treatment wherever she went either private or NHS

It’s the trouble with pursuing treatment above everything else. I am not judging anyone for any choices they make nor would I know what I would chose in their place. However, there is a quality vs quantity discussion that has to happen at some point. And I don’t think people frame it for themselves very well. They use terms like “giving up” or Lizzie talked about not trying everything etc. which is understandable.

My dad continued treatment because my mum couldn’t cope with the idea of him stopping when doctors gently suggested he might want to enjoy the time he had left. And officially his terminal cancer didn’t kill him, it was pneumonia as his body just gave up on him.

The actor Rob Delaney lost his son Henry to brain cancer. Him and his wife decided to stop treatment. The quality v quantity conversation is immensely difficult, his piece on it in this book is very good.

it’s interesting - I think as a parent, you would be able to make that decision for your kid - you would know they don’t owe you anything. Whereas as a parent you may feel you owe it to your children to stay alive for as long as possible. I know my dad did it for my mum where maybe he would have stopped for himself.

what a terrible dilemma to have.

Stopping treatment won’t necessarily give her quality either. Once the cancer has spread so aggressively the side effects of the cancer can be worse than the treatment, and palliative care may take away the pain but also speed up mental decline. Palliative care is also possible while on active treatment. I don’t see a reason why she shouldn’t at least try if she wants that.

Also chemotherapy is very hard and the side effects of it can also lead someone to stop.

What have I missed?
She said her sister said to her that she hopes she dies a painful death and she won't go to her deathbed. That she's an attention seeker always has been and that's why she set up the page. That she lied about family history saying no cancer but her dad/gran had it but Holly said she was talking specifically about tongue cancer not others. When her friend told her to stop her sister said she'd sniff coke off when cold dead body
