“People like us”?Why didn’t you claim furlough as a limited company. We have a construction company and I claimed furlough for me and hubby and one employee for one month last April when we shut.

Ooohhhh I’m so sorry I also am fully aware that turnover is not the same as profit. But the way it was written was such that they were doing amazing before COVID hit. And now with the budget on top of it they wouldn’t be doing as amazingly?
Anyways I’m off back to work now my happy carefree days of Furlough are over

Daily Mail have an online calculator where you enter your salary and a few details, such as how much fuel you use and your energy costs, and it tells you how much better/worse off you’ll be. I’m about £60 worse off. Only area I seem to benefit in any way is fuel costs. I’ll be £59 a year better off apparently.I've just brought this thread back to life. Maybe the mods may be kind enough to delete the date, so that we can use the thread for future budgets too.
So, how's the budget affected you this time. As a pensioner I'm pleased the triple lock remains, the cost of petrol is frozen, Mr HL will benefit from the draught beer announcement, and my son is happy about the child care help.
