Just looking for advise on broadband. Which companies would you reckon and who would you stay away from?
Just moved into a house and was looking at virgin broadband but couldn’t do it online and they are going to call me tomorrow or Wednesday to tell me if they can provide it to me. So looking for other options in case they cannot or I decide not to go with them. My dad knows someone drunk drove into the virgin box in my area so doesn’t think they’ll be able to provide it, unless they’ve fixed it 🙄.
Any company I look at reviews for online have bad reviews none I found have more than 3.4/5. But I always assume if you have a bad experience your likely to review whereas people with good experiences don’t bother.

I would recommend looking at going through a cash back app like top cash back or Quidco and you might get some money back - I made £150 through Quidco when I changed ours to Virgin. It’s better than the talk talk I had before and a million miles better than bt!

The internet is very good, never had any issues with it. Customer service always good. No complaints

I'm with BT (4 years), probably more expensive than most but they have amazing customer service and everyone I know who's with them hasn't had any issues. My internet went down during the first lockdown and despite me not being a high priority (elderly etc), they still came out, visited and fixed it within a day. Technician also gave me his number just in case it went down again to save me ringing again but it's been fine ever since.

We're with Sky at home and never had any problems! The speed is good - my bf plays a lot of xbox and always says our wifi isn't laggy so must be good 🤷‍♀️😂

@Former_Antelopee My bf has Plusnet broadband down at his work unit and he says the connection drops out quite a lot!

I would avoid Virgin as the customer support is terrible and they’re constantly putting the prices up.

I used to have them for TV, broadband and phone line (made to have this). I got a customer services call trying to get me to upgrade my TV package that I’d reduced 3 months earlier which I said no to. I then got an email a couple of days later to tell me I’d upgraded my package and was now locked in to a new contract for 12 months. Tried for ages to rectify this but got pushed round several different departments. Tried to cancel and got told as I was in contract I’d be charged a large fee for breaking it. Total joke.

Currently with Sky and had no issues. Much better customer support too.
