I gave it 2 stars, couldn't wait to finish and found the story ridiculous.

I’m so pleased it wasn’t just me. There were parts I really enjoyed and other parts that were just ridiculous. Did it feel like two books squished together to you? Like all the stuff with tv house, Maddie’s death and the immediate police fallout was one story and then the kidnapping and torture of Laurel was another story? Lucinda Berry is usually brilliant but this just wasn’t it!
