Bleeding down there (number 2)

Guys I hate to even have to make this embarrassing thread but it’s not the sort of thing I can just casually bring up with my friends IRL and I don’t want to go to the doctors if it’s actually not that unusual. On and off for several years I’ve sometimes noticed a little bit of blood when I wipe, and I assumed it was just a small cut or something harmless. This last month I’ve had the random occasions where there’s been a lot of blood, to the point where I think I’ve come on my period - it’s always bright red, and bad enough that it takes a few wipes to clean, and it’s in the toilet bowl etc  sorry that’s so gross. I’m not experiencing any pain and haven’t had any other major changes in habits. Is this something I should be worried about? Of course google basically just says it’s cancer (or piles but I don’t think I have those either:unsure:).
Please someone help me out and tell me I’m not dying.

Definitely make a doctors appointment, it’s probably something easily treatable but just to be on the safe side. They might first do bloods, examination & stool sample and go from there. Best of luck!

Definitely doctors! But try not to stress, it is common. Good luck! xx

Piles can be inside where you can’t see them and there’s fewer pain receptors so you wouldn’t feel it necessarily, but definitely go to the drs! It needs to be looked into x

If the blood is bright red its fresh, plus if it's on the tissue but not in the poo it's unlikely to be cancer. More likely internal piles or some kind of fissure tbh. Still worth going to the GP if it's often though.

Just want to agree with this that fresh blood is the best kind of blood to see, do you have any symptoms of piles at all? Or need more fibre in your diet etc?

It's scary when you see blood but you're likely totally fine, bright red blood is unlikely to be anything sinister and it tends to be a tear (gross!) or piles. Dark blood within your poo is what you need to be worried about.

Make sure you're not straining when you go to the loo as that can aggravate it, you might not even notice you're doing it. Try and increase your fibre intake as well. Some people are more likely to experience piles/fissures for no obvious reason so it's best to have a doctor check to be sure. They'll likely want to do an external examination which is always a bit undignified so do ask for a female doctor if you're nervous about that x

I think a little bright red blood isn't concerning ( but could be) but more than a little should be looked into urgently.

it could be many things including piles my friend had internal piles that ruptured so please get yourself seen ASAP.

Internal piles would be my best guess but definitely head to the doctor. We can't diagnose you online. I'm sure it won't be anything serious.

Get it checked out .

However, it could still be gynaecological. Often , during my period, I only see the blood when I wipe
