It seems that that was the appeal for Binky, a house in her favorite part of London that looks like it's in the countryside. Also she probably couldnt take india far. Won't be long before the interior designer is in and decorating rooms etc.

Oh yeah. Let's have it right she wouldn't be living anything like the life she is now if things had worked out with JP.
Also in Barnes, I'd say about a 10 minute walk from the new one.
That garden is rit, sorry but it's absolutely useless for a family. Nice for a wander with a coffee. But absolutely no use for 3 kids and an energetic dog. I hope she invests in a good landscaper to make the space work for them.

They've paid the price tag for a house on a certain road in a certain area. It's not the best house. There's no parking. It's a semi.

Most places in Barnes are semi's though. There's a street in particular where they're not, but those places are upwards from £5mil. Barnes is crazy expensive, but I can understand why because it's a beautiful area, particularly for families.
Yeah but she's got to consider India and her dad. If she moved away away it would make life difficult as I'm sure they share custody of her. If she had to ferry India to her dad's a couple of times a week etc it would make life difficult, and it soon wears thin. Also I'm assuming Max has a London office? At the moment she it makes sense I guess.
I walked past his "office" the other day. It's literally around the corner from their new house although it wasn't that much further from the previous place either.
I agree with everything you said though. Plus, I'm sure India is super happy in school and they didn't want to pull her out either. Can imagine the same for the boys with nursery too and that they'd go to the same school when they're that age. Everything they do (school, nursery, the pond, weekend markets) is even closer now than before. The only thing that isn't is the Wetlands, but even so that'd only be a 10 minute walk anyway.

I’m from Surrey and let me tell you there are some amazing big detached houses with huge gardens for that price tag. Joe wicks for example bought one. I’m shocked binkys in a semi for that price tag. I’m not wowed by it and tbh think it’s small (for that price I mean, not small in general). Must be the ‘barnes effect’
Theirs is in the heart of Chelsea/Sloane Square area I believe so you are paying a tonne for the prime location. I think i read it’s actually worth around £5m but it’s likely to be a property that’s been in Hugo’s family as it’s been listed as his address on Companies House for a long time. If that’s mortgage free and and they’ve basically got their entire reno on the beg I’d still say they are doing pretty well.
Hugo works for Lyma Life- to be fair to him at least he holds down a proper job.
