His sister recently moved over here too, he could have slept on her sofa, used address to get a job & saved the taxpayer thousands - more to this story than meets the eye.
Now is perfect time to get a job. Can’t do online applications but can use social media for clout and cash in hand.
Job centre sorts all that for you if you really want to work. Make. CV you can just tweak slightly depending on role being applied for.
Takeaways etc all now mainly through the apps so less independent drivers. He wants cash in hand that’s why he’s not working - less & less prepared to do it.
My workmates son has come back from 3 years TEFL in Spain, brought his Spanish girlfriend, she had a job in Tesco within a month of landing! No excuse for his sponging!

Well there are deserving cases my friend was homeless because of dv she had nothing she left with her baby’s changing bag and £20 in her purse ,but there are ones like that big midden getting all handed on a plate while he stays with his gf ,People are scared to report them Incase it comes back to them Just last year there was posters up saying anyone found to be reporting people would be dealt with

I so glad to hear your friend was able to get out of the DV situation she was in. That is a truly deserving person. It’s unfortunate freeloaders take away from appropriate support for people like her who really genuinely need it.
