Best or worst

My worst memory is when I got bullied at school

my best is wanting a slide for Christmas and instead my dad who I hadn’t seen for 10 months was popping out the box and the slide in the garden

Worst - seeing my great-nana suffer with dementia/being bullied at school

Best - I had lovely Christmases/Birthdays and was brought up with many pets over the years which I adored

Worst - I was bullied through my last few years of primary school by people I thought were my friends. I then had an awful time at secondary school because I struggled to trust anyone and didn’t really have any friends.

Best - I loved summer holidays, hours and hours building camps, biking, roller skating. Also, I used to go to work with my dad on a Saturday sometimes, and he’d let me do a few of his “jobs”. I felt sooo grown up!

I’m glad that I’m not the one who has a memory of childhood is being bullied as the worst!

it seems so trivial now I’m older and wiser but now my daughter is experiencing it, it brings back memories
Hopefully you can inspire me to make happy more happy memories for her

Worse - my sister tragically died when I was nine
Best - holidays, day trips, christmas day, but most of all being in riding gear and spending as much time as I could at the local stables.

worst: when my Nana died, when my dog died and getting bullied at school.

Worst: brain surgery (or the events leading up to it at least!)

Worst, being taken away from my home by Social Services due to neglect.

Best, playing out with friends in the street, we’d make dens and just generally had loads of fun with no cares for hours every day in the school holidays.

Best - Home life, especially family holidays

Worst - Bullied for things beyond my control

Don’t imagine being taunted over physical appearance is any easier, but I always wished it was my hair or weight, at least then I could have changed it

Up until I was about 15 I was living in Bloemfontein and Johannesburg, South Africa

One of the best memories back then - visiting Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, just north of SA

One of the worst - being bullied/threatened/targeted at school due to post-apartheid issues and what was seen back then as a form of ethnic cleansing in certain areas of J'burg.

Best - Christmas as a child was always pretty fun

Worst - Depression as a teenager as relationships with parents deteriorated, gaining weight as a result of depression, getting bullied for the weight gain...

Best - My mums reading isn’t great, so instead, I used to read to her until we both fell asleep. We used to trace our fingers on each other’s faces, pretending we were putting makeup on each other

the immensely fun primary school times I had with my friends, the games we would play, sitting in the sunshine and laughing for ages. I’m still friends with them all today

worst - depression in university

Worst - my Mum had a boyfriend who i didn't get along with. I never knew my biological Dad and was very clingy with my Mum. She was with her boyfriend from when I was 5 till I was 9. He killed himself after they split up and they hadn't spoke for a month. My Mum fully blamed me for what he done and she totally went off the rails. Full on breakdown. I used to get left in the house on my own with the dog while she went out God knows where. My brother and sisters were working so I was on my own. She tried to kill herself too but it didn't work.

Luckily she's a bit better now

Worst:- when my friend died on my 10th birthday

Best:- Family holidays, my Dad was always at work, so holidays were really fun having him around, I think he’s always regretted not having much time with us, but we never wanted for anything . . . just him.
