Nathan is being a proper dick. Telling Joe and Coop off for smiling at each other, FFS. I never thought I’d hear myself say this, but Joe is coming over as the more mature one this season.

Never been a fan of Joe, but I hope he steps up with Nathan out and proves that he is worthy of being a bosun. His attitude towards women is questionable, but you can't take away how good he is at his job.

If he knew 1. He was going to have a newborn baby, and 2. He had a bad back injury - then why the hell did he take the job?!

Definitely. I don’t really understand how he got bosun in the first place honestly,he may well be a good deckhand (altho imo not outstanding in any way!) but he’s clearly an appalling leader and that should’ve been perfectly obvious. I suppose it’s ‘good’ tv to have him and Gael there.
On another note, I keep getting recommended posts on socials for below deck and the hate Gael is getting is awful. Like how is she the problem?! She’s newly postpartum with her first baby, in a strange country with absolutely no support. Nathan is dismissive and doesn’t cut her an inch of slack for feeling wobbly, which is shite. But yea, it’s disappointing but not surprising that so many of the general public seem to blame her for being upset but also for Nathan’s poor performance.

Yes I have to say, I was cringing at that. Like, what the actual fuck is he doing?! I know he’s under a lot of pressure, on little sleep, but that was ridiculous.

Seems like that was the calm episode before the stormy ones to come. Those guests seemed soooo lovely & chill. The next ones don’t seem too nice.
