Just wondering if there are any other ladies working in beauty who can give me some advice please! I’ve been doing a lot of googling over the past week but haven’t got any clearer answers 😂

I’ve been doing lashes, brows and dermaplaning for just over two years now. I trained with different providers for these courses that were specific to the treatment. All insurable etc.

I’m really interested in advanced facials and skincare which is what I want to do more of in my business. However I’m not really sure of the right way to go about it. Some courses I’ve seen online (for things like skin pen and electrical facials) require a level 3 qualification. So I have looked into doing level 2 then level 3. But some courses don’t require those qualifications at all.

I’ve found level 2 and 3 certificate qualifications (Ofqual registered) which I’m more than happy to do if it enhances my learning and business potential. But I also don’t want to spend the money if I don’t really need to.

My question I guess is if you work in beauty, are you level 2/3 qualified, or did you just train in individual courses? And does anyone have any advice about what is the best route to go down?

I'm level 2 and 3 qualified , but I don't work in the beauty industry anymore .
Personally I'd say you are better to get the levels 2 and 3 first , there is a lot you can do with just level 2 I believe
When I worked in a salon they would usually put me on a short cource with the specific brand they used anyway , I'd imagine it would be much the same on your own allthough I'm not 100% on what's available to you if you've not completed the level 2 or 3 , I'd think they would ask to see your level 2/3 qualifications ?
