His quirks drive me mad the seal bit and when he constantly does back to the future referencesI’ve also watched him since the Virgin Kitchen days and just wondered if there’s a thread!
My mum’s a newer viewer and absolutely loves him, and overall I do still like Barry too. I like the gadget videos as well and when he gets new appliances to try out.
I’m not used to Hugo yet. I preferred it when it was just Barry and his family and sometimes it’s like Hugo’s being shoehorned in, as well as all these movie clip bits etc added in.
I sometimes feel like he’s chasing views with all the TikTok and viral recipe videos and that it’d be good to see him doing more of his own original content and ideas in terms of what he’s cooking. But he’s said himself that he’s not a chef!
He drives my husband mad sometimes always talking about how dangerous things can be. Admittedly I did think he was laying it on a bit thick recently when he talked about cutting himself a lot and it looked like he was squeezing his finger, but we still watch every video!
