Exactly this. What angers me the most is that she’s managed to distract the blame away from her and ‘raise awareness’ for these batteries. It makes me so angry. It is YOUR fault. Just is up to it. There are so many hazards in the home but you minimise those risks by watching your kids, picking up stuff, getting things out of reach.
Own up that you weren’t watching your child, you didn’t clean and that you caused this. Infuriating.

I think if her mental health is that bad, she wasn’t watching her son who’s vulnerable (open heart surgery) then she probs needs some help from social services TBH ! It’s not an excuse to neglect your children I’ve had 3 under 3 and I still found time to hoover and my kids haven’t yet swallowed anything they sounds that I left lying around and they are now 8/10 years old mental health is serious but it can’t be blame for lazy parenting!!!

She has no answer for this. My issue isn’t the batteries at all it’s the safety. They are safe if they are safe and secure. I have musical books and we do check often that the batteries are in and the screw tight. That’s my issue, it’s like don’t have plug sockets because they are dangerous no you make them safe.
