How many batteries has your own children swallowed?
Or how many people do you know of, that have children that has swallowed batteries?
For me the answer is zero. Yes accidents happen, but stuff like this has to be rare.
Both kids have had open heart surgery, an you let them eat off a dirty floor

None for me either! Zero times have I heard a child has got into some batteries! I also haven’t had my child eat a cleaning capsule. Toddler twins and a boy 18 months older never had them hoover the floor with their mouths! because I’m scared they will swallow it and die 
you hear stories about children swallowing pennies and that but batteries is a first for me.!None for me either! Zero times have I heard a child has got into some batteries! pushed it all the way in had to the hospital her it removed, heck I’ve lost the end of a cotton bud stuck in my ear but a battery nope ! XDidn't she used to have the handle 'the hungover mum'?
My Daughter done this when she was young, she stuck a stone up her nose & ended up in ear,nose & throat hospital because A&E couldn’t get it out. I have so much to say on this subject but I’ll keep it short.
Firstly, If my child has anything as small as even a cold/temperature I would not drink alcohol incase I need to whisk her to A&E - Call me extreme but I’d rather be over cautious than pissed up with a ill child!! We had a 7 day hospital stay when my child fell poorly, the air ambulance and many other ambulances/first response vehicles were sent out, not once did I or my husband post on social media at all while in the hospital and just almost lost our baby. Very strange how people turn to social media immediately.
Secondly the no hoovering up? I just don’t understand it? My little babe makes a huge mess while in the highchair eating. I Hoover up after every meal and wipe the floor down. I wouldn’t want my baby eating food off the floor days old? It’s unhygienic. As parents no we can’t have eyes on the back of our heads but it’s down to us to risk assess our surroundings and make it safe place for our children. I.e - Check no dangerous objects are laying around no sharp things nothing. How can you miss a battery? Naturally as a parent you risk assess everything every single day. My hearts always in my throat!!

Also if you buy safe, ce tested and regulated toys from reputable shops that are age appropriate the fixings etc are tested for that minimum age. If you buy cheap crap from a market stall, it won’t be safe, tested or could be harmful. Like this… there we go. Give him toys for age 1+ and you wouldn’t have this problem. Clean your home snd it will be fine…

A very single sided trauma response from her. Doctors often appear to snap because they don’t deal with the emotion in a tense time sensitive situation, she was focussed on saving your child’s life so if she’s telling you buck up and let her do her job rather than wailing at her and making demands, she cannot be blamed.
Exactly in a situation like that they don’t have time to tell you what they are doing. You just need to shut up sit quiet and let them do their job.
I have visions of her standing at the operating theatre door with a bottle of cheap wine in her hand and a fag hanging out of her mouth, dressed like waynetta slob with her saggy tit out shouting at the surgeon that she wants an update.
i’m wondering if they told her to wait in the waiting room like they tell everyone to do when they’re trying to save someone’s life and she wasn’t having any of it.

the doctor bashing doesn’t sit right with me. Refusing to speak to them because you “don’t like them” is pure childish. They’re being so stern with you because you don’t understand the gravitas of the situation.
You let your child eat something, they nearly died. If you can’t keep this tube in your child’s nose, they will not get better. If you can’t LISTEN, we don’t want to waste our time on you.
I get that some people don’t get on, I refused to have one midwife near us while I was giving birth cause I hated her. But this was pretty pandemic and not a life threatening situation and I didn’t do it because I ‘wanted a hug’. Which emergency doctor had time to stop and give you a hug, in a pandemic?
