I've arrived! You don't need to worry.

I work from home. Applied for a promotion at work in February 2020 👀 they did interviews via Teams in March 2020 and I was given a computer and sent packing to WFH two hours later. Got the job, was trained remotely and have learned the job from home.

They did a whole thing about being office-based, home-based or dynamic (some home and some office time) and the entire department selected dynamic or office only. We were over-ruled and have been issued new contracts as home workers but attached to a specific office... I went on Mat Leave and found out I'm attached to an office waaaaay up North.

So no ability to office possibly for the best as the former Mr Fox is there.

I can’t believe they’ve picked Monday ! Of all days we do have one team meeting every other week on a Tuesday or Wednesday

it’s close to my sons nursery so I go after I drop him but a few hate that particular office as they live very far😂

@Jolie1988 I’ve signed up for gym starting tomorrow I’m shitting bricks hope I can bump into Hedi x
Ha ha same in our dept loads come in on Wed/Thur but not Mon/Tue, someone said it’s so they can have a long weekend… I said it’s the same either side and the penny dropped 🤣🤣🤣

A difference that the gas and electric has gone down?
i think I need to go to work. Get a break from the kids and the food 😂😂
Yes free heat and electric costs 😂😂 a £15 reduction this month… hopefully more in the E winter as the heating isn’t on ATM 🤣
Yes too easy to snack… I don’t mind going back in but as long as it’s not permanent 🙏

Omg I'm the same, I feel I can work better at home because of my crohns disease. Sometimes I work in bed until about 11 cos my joints hurt, manager will be like I'm calling you on teams and I'm like oh dear my camera isn't working, what a shame.
I spent a fortune working in the office, going past M&S was ruining me, now I cook more cos I can keep an eye on the oven.

I jist love not having to wear a bra all day, it's exhilarating 😆
I haven’t worn a bra in 2 years. I live in the primark crop tops
If only 12 year old me could see me now 😂😂

Hey,

i WFH they haven’t made any recommendations to go back
a few of us meet once a week just to stay in touch this is not compulsory tho so if I don’t want to go no one bites my head off !

In my part of the job I don’t need to meet anyone face to face but some of my colleagues do but we don’t need an office for this !

saving so much money being at home I can log in early as I don’t need to travel it’s just brilliant

Just thought I would ask the question…. Anyone WFH now being asked to go back to the office?

Currently working from home ATM but been asked to go back into the office 3 days a week… interest in
1) Is it beneficial for your job
2) Pros & Cons
I work solely from home. Can pop into the office if I need to, however no work gets done as we all chat. My office is very laid back. There’s 3 of us, sometimes more

I think from September I may go in a couple of days a week, but we’ll see. It doesn’t bother me either way. I haven’t been in A working office environment since I went on maternity leave in July 2019!

Our general area is insurance/ large UK firm with a European market.

I work in a corporate department but we have to know about the B2B and the B2C functions appropriately and can be called into those departments to help manage the business area if needed. I took nine months of maternity leave and returned to work.

Pros of working from home: I don't have to commute, can work in pyjamas, can mute myself in meetings and walk off so don't have to deal with people before 10AM or two cups of coffee and I don't have to see my ex.

Cons: I miss some of my colleagues, I genuinely wouldn't know half of my department if I fell over them, bad days are very lonely and I miss the heavily subsidised Starbucks.
Best bit of being in the manufacturing office is listening to the blokes bitch and moan… I honestly laugh out sometimes 🤣🤣 absolutely comical and one of the blokes told the other blokes he looked like Tim Healy’s character from Benidorm… almost spat my coffee out at that one 😂😂

Ah well done doll, once you get into it, it becomes addictive, Heidi must have a six pack by now 😂😂. Lockdown ruined me with the gym, I go late when it's quiet as I don't like to be around too many people but took me 21 months to get back in to it. I'm so unfit but I just stick my earphones on and just do what I can x

I feel your pain. I'm a 34JJ. Each boob is considerably bigger than my head. I genuinely wear huge hoodie to swamp my frame or I get harassed whilst taking the kids to school.

We're considering it but we all hate work so none of us want to be reminded it exists when we log off and move elsewhere in the house.

I'm still wearing my maternity leggings and a huge (not Gucci) hoodie. I tie my hair up and when I said I was going back to work they all looked surprised. Turns out noone thought I was homeless they just thought with three kids he was supporting us. No huns Single Mum and the actual house owner. He paid me rent 😂

Hi Lozzy, I mean Lizzy xx
Misogyny is alive and well! I’ll bet their tiny minds would explode if you do tell them you’re the owner. Cretins.
Thank you both ❤ I’ve been unemployed for a while now since losing my previous job and it has been the most financially difficult time of my life so this means everything to me.

If only I had a one night stand with a footballer who I could rinse for every penny, eyy?! (Joking of course 😉)
Well done!

We have 3 different offices, and I think they will possibly farm people out… in general, I don’t need to collaborate a great deal with people.. however company jumps on things and sometimes don’t see the bigger picture…I do my intense/focused work at home, so fingers crossed it stays that way…

Fingers crossed our thread is reinstated soon.. only Wagatha to read atm

Do you guys have a work WhatsApp group lol
Yes, and I get ignored a lot 😂😂
There’s about 3 different groups, but that’s more of the nature of my job
In one I ask questions, forget, go into my WhatsApp and then realise someone’s responded but because it’s on mute, I don’t get it 😂😂

@PenelopePitstop I narrowly avoided calling someone a thundercunt at work today.

Slagging someone off blind (deservedly) and this guy on our team piped up "that's my cousin you know".

Had to own it. "I don't care. The man is an absolute [struggle for words and pushed thundercunt down twice]... bellend! I'm sorry you're associated with him."

He took it well.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is brilliant
At least you owned it !

You're lucky I can't away without a bra outside. I'm one of them unfortunate souls with a teeny back and massive gg type basketballs 😭😭 I wish I didn't have to wear a bra x
Oh, double Gs 😭 I don’t even know what bra size I am 😬 x
