Not worth it at all
Why do you say that?
I believe with Avon its only lucrative if you have huge rounds. A rep told me that when she was signing me up. I did it through college and probably made £10-15 per campaign. For the time and effort I put in it really wasn't worth it in terms of money. Collecting the books back in from my neighbours was an absolute ball ache. However it was nice because I got to know lots of my neighbours that I didn't know before so that was a good gain. I remember someone else I knew doing Avon and they got a telling off for doing a book drop on a street not allocated to them so beware of that. I had to say when I signed up which streets I intended using. The rep who signed me up said she was making good money because she had a huge round including a couple of blocks of high rise tower blocks. Lots of addresses in a very small area but could be worth it for that if you live near some?
I enquired recently, it's 25% commission. It's A lot of work for a little reward.
Honestly.. None of us want to be pushed into buying it just because we know you. (General you)

I would say no. I used to be an Avon lady many years ago and took over a large round from another woman who moved away. She did well and had lots of friendships from her round..and made a good bit of money as well. When I took over I found the customers were unwilling to accept a newbie and it took months to get someone to buy something. I found out that it was all mainly based on the girls together gang that she built up over the years and not just an Avon selling round.Without the goodwill and aceptance it was hopeless and I gave up.
The only time I ever made money out of it was at Christmas.
Quite a few of my neighbours have done it but never for long. One neighbour said it’s hard to make much money out of it. Remember you would get the goods delivered in the white paper Avon bag? You have to buy those! One neighbour just put the goods in a plastic bag.
A girl I work with her friend does it and is a rep and she seems to make a lot from it. I suppose it just depends if your neighbours are a fan of Avon? A lot of their products used to irritate me. I had to return a makeup item once as it irritated my skin badly.

I had someone pretty much force me to sign up whilest pregnant, I was weeks away from birth, and she wouldnt leave my door step!
Even said it would be a good excuse to get out with a newborn!

Just because other people’s experiences are bad, doesn’t mean yours would be 
I’ve been doing it since March, and really enjoy it. This month is currently my best month so far out of the 5 - I’ve done £500 worth of sales, which is £125 in my pocket, and still have a week left to get more orders

I know people who do it as a full time job, and people who do it just for a tiny bit of extra income, or purely because they just enjoy doing it! As I say, everyones experience isn’t the exact same. No need for negativity on my positive comment to the original poster
It's not negativity at all. It's an opinion and an observation of why you may have made more during lockdown.We shall see

I already stated I know a Rep who makes a lot of money from it.
For me it’s not about making loads as I also work part time in childcare, and have a crazy 2 year old, so it’s for a bit of extra income & I really enjoy doing it. Do you know how long the girl you know has been doing it for?

I have been doing Avon for a few months now, usually make about £70/£80 commission and I only have 8 customers who order every campaign then you have the ones who order every other campaign. I absolutely love it.
