I laugh when influencers slam tattle like it’s some kind of cesspool when most of it is gossip that I am certain they partake in with their friends. There is no doxxing, no sharing of children’s faces and private lives, no driving without seatbelts on or whilst recording, no over consumption or encouragement to buy buy buy. There are tens of thousands of influencers without tattle pages. Let that sink in

The fact Teefers and other "influencers" think that corporations and companies around the world are willing to fire employees for saying someone dresses like a 90 year old, or has overdone the facial fillers, is clueless about home decor, or is a grifter wanting freebies from companies and brands, was rude to staff or wore an ugly hat, shows how deluded they are to think that they are important enough that free speech on a website -separate from their actual social media pages -would make employers fire employees.

Thing is there are many that do but on their own social media pages, they can just delete what they want. They have no control of the narrative or opinions here and more importantly, they cannot delete the receipts and proof of bad behaviour folks have here.
Ultimately, these influencers want to post their entire lives publicly online, monetise it, profit and make money of it but then silence any other human with an opinion that is not to their liking. I understand deleting comments that are rude or derogatory to them on their own social media platforms but they even silence comments that provide constructive criticism and are polite, professional but just slightly differing in opinion. You can't have it both ways and control it all. Also if you don't want to be called out for bad behaviour, perhaps do not behave badly and mistreat others.
However, if you can't even handle people commenting privately on a separate site amongst themselves that your outfit was hideous last week, your hairstyle looked goofy, you waste tons of money redecorating your house 17 times and are ridiculous for guzzling down 2 bottles of wine with your mate taking a morning walk, then perhaps don't post it online.
These influencers want to have their cake and eat it too, post all they want online, line their pockets with cash from folks watching their stuff but then muzzle and deny others from having an opinion while they happily slag off companies, products, us and even each other!
We choose to provide our opinion on someone who chooses to post their lives online for profit. However, we do it away from them on a separate website.

Has she actually had to start any treatment or surgery yet? I can’t even imagine being that self absorbed and ignorant. Preach your self righteous bullshit when you’re in the midst of chemo or medication side effects, or recovering from major surgery. Never mind as a parent having to watch your child go through those experiences and manage the stress while still supporting your other children and managing your work / house. My son has a life threatening chronic illness, when he is hospitalised I barely function and survive off whatever food the hospital offers and my priority is always him. Anytime someone does an anti tattle rant, gets all high and mighty and throws in “I’d be so ashamed if my children did this…” get over yourself. It only brings more attention. It’s no different anyone’s group chats or venting about whatever fucks them off. Pretending to be above it? The fact influencers think this is some massive victory is beyond me. I think it’ll be a massive stretch to prove defamation because you would have to identify the person who is posting “lies” that have categorically damaged their reputation. Commenting on people’s behaviour they choose to show is not defamation.
Most people who have threads usually do so due to problematic behaviour. The amount of rubbish I’ve seen online where people post identifying or exploitative material of their own children is beyond a joke. The fact they think it is their entitlement to make money off an audience without disclosing paid partnerships is appalling. I’m glad influencers “influence” is dying out. Tattle provides some critical reflection. I cannot be the only one on a post sometimes thinking “why the fuck is this person posting that?” none of these people are game to engage in any conversation about their behaviour either. You must be a fawning fan to be in their community. That’s fine. That’s why tattle exists. I think of the L*L* threads when it seemed that only tattle were concerned about that woman and her children. Dreadful situation.

The argument that we should be outraged by the death of a hate-spreading podcaster from the US would be more convincing if the people espousing it had been vocally outraged about the targeted murders of Melissa Hortman, an actual elected politician, and her husband in their home. Or the school shooting the same day. But oddly enough, people saying this stuff were and are silent on that.

Absolutely, they’ve tried this shit over the years, various influencers, but because of the timing with the news about the years old court case against Tattle founder & big name Indy Clinton speaking out. People got worried, the only thing the Pi could do is go through threads, look at screenshots people left their pics on or user names & cross check against followers & messages, sit for days & weeks picking up bread crumbs that posters may have left and track peoples insta names that way, they can’t get access to email addresses or I P addresses - it’s very difficult for police and law courts to provide that in serious cases, there is no need for people to be worried. These grubs deserve people talking about the shit they do, if they don’t like the feedback on their “job” maybe they need a new one.

I am so over the it's tearing women down discourse. Reserve that outrage for men and their sports forums and comment threads. I personally don't think people should be allowed to get away scot-free with being essentially sellouts and encouraging overconsumption and not even declaring it. Not to mention the appalling breach of privacy for their own children and family members. Social media has been toxic for a long time. I'm glad influencers are on the outs.

I saw an article today claiming tattle is the most hate filled space on the internet and honestly. Good for people who aren’t aware of worse spaces lol. But it is NOT EVEN CLOSE to so many other places. Even the average comments on FB articles are worse - and they’re usually MEN saying all kinds of vile, misogynistic shit. Funny how that isn’t slammed in the same way. I’m sure because men do it it’s considered important and insightful commentary into society.
