I’m not closed minded nor am I transphobic. I’m just sick of men wearing “womens clothes” and thinking it’s some revolutionary act. Wear what you want! But if you’re going to act like it’s fashion be prepared to get critiqued.

I reject the term non binary. I think it’s nonsense. Deni literally looks like the bloke who owns the kebab shop down the street which is about as masculine as you can get. If Deni has an issue with that well that’s not my problem but there is nothing feminine or even androgynous about him.

It also bloody rubs me the wrong way that to get an ambassadorship a woman has to be a model like Jessinta but Deni who for arguments sake is a dude whether he identifies with that or not, gets to look like regular joe blow. It’s insulting. Mediocre men win out every time. Even when it’s a woman’s swimwear label on IWD.

Repeatedly misgendering Deni, saying they’re “cross dressing”, rejecting the term “non binary”, insisting Deni is “a dude whether he identifies with it or not”, saying “there is nothing feminine or even androgynous about him”, saying you’re “sick of men wearing women’s clothes”..

If that’s not blatant bigotry idk what it is.

That was the backtrack. Deni edited his post. According to Seafolly it was just an outfit they made in collaboration for Pride. Where as in Deni’s unedited post it was announcing he was their new ambassador and gushing about making history etc.

Now, while Deni might say he’s non binary and now trans the fact of the matter is he’s a gay (nothing wrong with that) male (nothing wrong with that) who dresses in womens clothes (nothing wrong with that) with exhibitionist tendencies never not showing the outline of his dick (please god no one needs to see this in public) in tight clothes. I think he’s jumping on the trans bandwagon because he’s an incredibly unspecial, untalented run of the mill self obsessed influencer like the rest of them.

You know, accepting the term non-binary costs you absolutely nothing. The same with using a person’s preferred pronouns.

I don’t relate, or even entirely understand, but I know these things are really, really vitally important to other people and it’s no imposition on me.

Particularly when compared to the general population, LGBTQIA+ people experience disproportionately high rates of rejection (including from family and peers) and isolation, self-harm and suicide, poor mental health outcomes, poverty and underemployment, and unstable accommodation (including sleeping rough and couch surfing).

I thought Deni was non binary, not trans? Maybe Seafolly has gotten that wrong. This is from the company that manages Deni:

“Deni identifies as non-binary and presents themself as a neutral combination of gender expression, of which they affectionately call ‘The Space In Between’.”

I don’t think Deni “presents as a man” and tbh I find it really gross when people misgender people on purpose.
