I asked Influencer updates an anonymous Q saying why would I pay when I can read tattle free and that's where most of your Intel comes from.

She hadn't answered last time I checked 🤷🏼‍♀️

Her reply is so scripted, you can tell she didn't write it. They could at least have made it sound more like her
agree with you both, this is pure PR, let’s break it down…

“it’s taken me a long time to unlearn bad habits” = it’s not my fault, someone else taught me that I should sunbathe in a bikini and post it

“I understand pictures don’t always tell the story I’m meaning them to” = it’s your fault if you interpret my pro-tanning photos as pro-tanning

“I practice sun safety by… seeking shade when by the pool” = I’m trying so hard, how can you attack me for promoting sunbaking

“I have got a lot better since having Harvey” = get out of jail free card by referencing a baby, don’t you know I’m a mother and therefore beyond reproach?

“I can see the damage that past actions of mine have done” = anything you’re criticising me about is in the past, not me any more, get over it

“When we know better, we do better. Today I know a lot more than I did in the past” = I am sooooo much more educated now than I was one week ago when I last posted tanning photos. Anything I did in the past was because I didn’t know, rather than because I knew and didn’t care.

“Don’t let your judgments of me take away from the message” = by calling out my hypocrisy you are the bad one for distracting from the subject (even though I have contributed to tanning culture and done actual harm)

“We can all do better” = final little snark back.

“Chrissie Swan has showed off her incredible figure after losing a whopping 90 kilos.

After dropping a reported 90kg since the start of lockdowns, she briefly touched on her weight loss in an interview with The Australian Women's Weekly last year.

She said the 'enormous' lifestyle changes she'd made over the previous 12 months had improved her life in so many ways.”

At which point is she going to stop treating people like idiots and drop the whole ‘I lost 90kg by cutting out alcohol and walking’ bullshit story? I’d respect her more if she was just honest and admitted that she had WLS and that’s why she lost 90kg in a year 😒🙄

Influencer Updates has broken the news about Natalie (including photo of the funeral notice that was posted in here) and her followers aren't happy - lots of people saying it's not an "influence update" and an announcement like that should be from the family.

As a mum of three autistic children anyone who is defending Meshel Laurie’s take can get in the bin. My three are, on the outside, “low support needs” high functioning is offensive because what are other autistic people - low functioning? My three come home from work and school and cry and rage from holding their needs in all day / but to everyone else they’re just “jumping on the bandwagon”. What’s next - people aren’t gay enough? Seriously - if you’re so worried about Em’s messaging being damaging to high support need autistics then spread the word. Do some volunteering. Clearly Meshel is struggling personally, I get it. I’m there every day I get a call from the school or when I spend countless nights worrying my child’s NDIS plan won’t get renewed at the amount we require. If you think supporting autistic people is by pulling low support need autistics down that’s a you problem. I shake my damn head.

SUCH strange behaviour! And really makes you wonder how genuine it is! Because yes, weird as you say to stop and take a selfie but even grosser to “fake” or reenact the moment! #aUtHeNiC 🙄🙄
I have been wondering… WHY am I seeing so many influencer tears recently? And such longwinded posts about it? Everything is just so fucking deep with these vapid people. Basically Steph’s thing today was “I had a ✨breakdown✨ at work last week, which was actually just me stepping out of the room to compose myself when I got a little flustered in my ✨own business✨ But for the sake of the gram and the dRaMa it was a ✨breakdown✨ and I want to share this with you because we had a brand strategy meeting last week where I was advised ✨#authenticity✨ and ✨#rawandreal✨ are high-performing hashtags. So I snapped a crying selfie to store for 6 days until my Social Media Manager told me it was strategically a good time to schedule a verbose Insty post telling you it’s okay not to be okay, and you’ve got this, and #bekind, and life is hard, and look at my massive diamond ring that you’ll never afford peasant lol PS #linkinbio for half-price KIC in your first month” ❤

So Steph and Laura’s latest podcast is about Natalie Fornasier and her work about tanning culture, and includes them agreeing that tanning culture is bad. They’ve had to quickly limit comments because quite rightly commenters starting calling out that Steph is one of the biggest proponents of tanning culture in Australia. Constant tanning photos in her stories and her grid.

It’s literally one week since her last sunbaking in a bikini grid post. Absolute hypocrite who thinks she can tell other people that they shouldn’t tan and they shouldn’t glamorise it, when that’s exactly what she does herself.

I really like the baby's name as well! I do feel bad for Martha, she had it really rough with the pregnancy.
Is cute, immediately thought of Draco Malfoys dad 😅 I also like the fact they’re choosing to live with her parents because it’s an inter generational living arrangement we don’t often embrace here. I lived with my parents, as a single parent, for 18 months and whilst it was wild and infringed on my parenting choices at times, it was a beautiful time for my child and created a long lasting bond. It also acknowledges that raising a child requires a village. Take the support, all of it.

I cannot believe how many influencers are posting their kids in their school uniforms with the logo clearly visible. Many of them are a private school flex

Look Meshel can be problematic but she has a point. Celebrities jumping on every bandwagon is exhausting whether it be autism, depression, anxiety, ADHD etc. If you can manage to have a career in the public eye with any of these diagnosises you need to shut the fuck up because for every one successful person supposedly diagnosed with these things there are so many people whose every day life is a struggle. As in people who are long term unemployed, chronically ill, in prison. High functioning people being the poster children for these conditions and illnesses helps NO ONE, they’re the 1% and very very lucky.

Also, sorry to say, but in its history psychiatry always been problematic and focused on what’s currently in fashion. People are frequently misdiagnosed because many conditions overlap or share symptoms of others. If psychiatry was an exact science we’d all still be treated with masturbation by dr’s for our “hysteria”. So spare me.

If you knew how much Martha and Michael make from Instagram ads that they aren’t declaring as ads you might think differently 🤣 6-7 figures Martha makes per ad. I’m sorry but anyone getting paid that sort of money needs to do their job properly and part of their job is declaring whether it’s an ad or not. It’s not hard but apparently it’s something a lot of these inst idiots can’t do #ad

I’m neither fan or hater of Em but I really thank her for sharing so much for her story. A work colleague (lawyer so in a highly professional role) shared her Press Club with the team and said “this is me” and gosh it’s made such a difference to our workplace. I’ve always found her really difficult to work with and I just have so much more understanding now. She shared with us that it takes everything she has to get through the day and goes home and falls into a heap. She has genuinely been masking and now she feels safer to take timeout when needs etc and we’ve been able to support her so much.

Meshel would think that my colleague isn’t worthy of identifying as neurodivergent because she is in a professional role and is able to live her life but seeing the difference in her now that we’ve been able to be more supportive and have out some strategies in place has been amazing. How can this be a bad thing? Just quietly there’s a few people who have also benefited from the things we’ve introduced too.
