A family at school has lost both their jobs 😩 and it’s not great. I was think of sending an anonymous Christmas food hamper, anyone know of any where they definitely won’t see who’s sent it?

I like the look of the Morrison’s ones but I can’t see if they would have your name on?

Is there a local charitable organisation that could help ? There is a community group in our town that does this . You could provide the goods and they might help distribute anonymously .

Sending a parcel tends to need sender's address and they might not accept a food package or something they haven't ordered themselves, either because they are too proud or they think it's a mistake.

Short of dropping it at their door and doing a runner I don't know what to suggest .

So good of you.

Go to the supermarket and a buy basic food supply for them. Will work out cheaper for you as well and will be better value.

If you buy a hamper, they normally have food stuff in that no one eats and can be expensive.

Just leave on their door step in the evening and no one needs to know any different.

Is there any way you could put one together/get a supermarket voucher and leave it at the school but say you wish to remain anonymous?

It's such a nice gesture. I'd perhaps go with a voucher though - which I see other people have suggested too!

They might not want it though and feel a bit patronized.
I wouldn't want it but I appreciate that everyone is different. I personally would either donate to the school or a food bank, then whoever could access it.
Its very kind of you though OP.

Exactly what I’m trying to avoid, I don’t want to tell school either, not sure they would want them to know of any difficulties and any attention that could be brought to them.

I’m going to put a gift card through the door, no fuss or potential awkwardness.

That’s such a lovely idea, it’s been such a horrible year and kindness goes such a long way 💕

Such a lovely idea.
We got a pup earlier in the year. And someone left a few treats on the door step. No idea who. A little coat, a mat, puppy pads and a dog Christmas stocking. Still to this day we have no idea who it was. But it made me cry because someone had been so kind.
We weren’t in need but peoples kindness even in these horrible times really does make the world go round.

You are really sweet and it's a lovely gesture. Even if they do see you posting it, there is no need to feel awkward or anything as I am sure they will appreciate it.

That is so cute someone did that!
One of our neighbours left us a bottle of wine the other day, with a note saying 'thank you for being friendly' We are also not in need and all we ever do is say hello when we see him. But that made me cry too.
