I have a colleague who dominates all our team meetings, talks over everyone, rambles on and on to the point you see everyone else visibly disengage. they were off last week and the difference in the meeting was like night an day, people were more relaxed and there was a chance to talk and ask questions without them taking over and showing that they know best about everything. it's exhausting.

I work as part of a stores team and as such we have scissors all over the place for getting into boxes etc, one of my colleagues cuts his fingernails with these on a regular basis-nail clippings on the floor, scissors put back in the pot. Grim. Needless to say I have my own scissors which stay in my pocket!

Have a colleague who recently moved, they chose to buy that house knowing it would be a longer commute. Every single day they make a comment on how hard it is to get to the office, how the rain is making traffic worse etc.
They are just trying to get more remote days.
I have no sympathy they knew their hours before they bought that place its on them to shut up and get on with it.

We once found an envelope of someone’s fingernail (and toenail!!!!!) clippings during a desk move. People are absolutely bleeping rotten.

I worked in an office, it was odd but still supposed to be a place of work.
Heard a weird noise, looked up from my work to see an older male colleague cutting his toenails at his desk.
I gagged.

I work in a coworking space and I seem to be surrounded by a constant stream of corporate bull. It’s always men with booming voices on the phone too thinking they’re Jordan Belfort. You’re in digital marketing mate, calm down.

The latest workplace wanker is at the FO stage with multiple people.

I recommend investing in some Butterkist shares.

The weather recently had been crap. Drizzling, raining, foggy, damp air.
My TL keeps saying it’s “foisty” outside when they go out for their lunch.
I don’t think she even knows what the word means.

When one person is desparate for attention so they post about how amazing other team members are.
This obviously leads to those mentioned saying how amazing first person is.
Ive had to mute it because I cant cope with it today.

Our HR representative always ignores my emails. They kind of suck at actually interacting with the employees.

I dont even know the name of anyone in our HR company, we were never told. So you would have to ask a manager for the name to discuss any issues you might have. Which is a major problem if you have a problem with your manager.

I worked for a global company and the head of HR, who was loved by everyone and wrote books on HR etc, used to tell anyone who asked that the purpose of HR is to protect the company from its employees.

Remember I wrote an essay on here before Christmas about how my team all fell out and had to have a 'team mediation' day? Well, in a way, it worked because everyone has decided to pretend (on the surface) that we never all fell out and have no communication issues. Now it's all fake-nice and people are sending Happy Friday memes in the work chat to 'communicate' and someone new has joined the team this week and the troublemakers who have put on their best fake-nice mask, are all over them like newborn puppies, trying to lovebomb them. I'm sitting in my corner getting the ick :D At least the drama has gone and we are mostly getting on with our work. Sometimes the fake-nice is acceptable if it means people leave you alone to crack on with your job in peace.
