Leader of the Labour Party as of today, expected to be appointed as the UK Prime Minister on the 20th…
…but only now has he truly made it, with his own Tattle thread. Let’s go!
He does seem kinda normal well more normal than the others have been, so maybe he'll be good. Though he is a politician so probably full of shit. Is anyone here from Manchester to let us know how he really was as a mayor
My issue is being a mayor is incredibly different to being the PM. His remit is a million times bigger for a start.
It worries me that he wants to give power to local government but will there be the training and the scrutiny for them and as it’s never been done and how will it be policed as unfortunately big budgets can and do get used for stupid stuff. It all seems a bit woolly and for quick wins rather than a system that’s been fully thought out and planned.

I agree and i wonder how it will work for areas without a mayor, because (i may be wrong on this) not every local authority has a mayor, im all for the return of the £2 bus tickets through
He is also hoping to end homelessness which is an admirable thing but that needs to go hand in hand with much needed improvement in mental health and addiction provision. Just giving someone a flat won’t solve their problems. I think his attempt in Manchester was good for the first year and it dropped but then is higher now when he started.
In my 'hood', I've seen a significant increase in rough sleepers in recent weeks. It's a returning & growing issue. I notice that the sleepers are predominantly male, middle-agrd with some possessions
I feel sorry for Mrs B who is getting criticised for her dress and figure. Refreshing to have a normal looking wife and not some clotheshorse or manicured model as a sidekick.
