So he and his husband were lying around naked, which caught the eye of a gay man, who stared at them, maybe mistaking them lounging about naked in front of a bare window as an invitation and therefore hoping to be invited in, hence the continued staring? Or maybe he was straight and trying to be a bit threatening/making clear that they can be seen clearly from the street, ie are essentially flashing everyone.
