Her son's full name is Anthony David Karl Palmer Gaiman. Anthony after her late best friend, mentioned in a post above, David after Neil's father, who died some years ago, and Karl after her brother/step-brother who died young. I read somewhere that she didn't like Ant or Tony for short so they settled on Ash.

The only intel I have on that is that they just got supremely fed up with always being together during an insane work schedule. Could have led to a bust up I guess but I don't know if I'd buy them hating each other from the outset.

Honestly, it was always a matter of when, not if. I hope they all (especially their son) have support to deal with this. Personal feelings aside and even with being separated for as long as they were, I can’t imagine this is easy.

The early stuff is just more punchy. I am hopeful about the new DD album, I think working with someone else will be good for her.

I once almost booked tickets to see her a few years ago, I think maybe at York or Newcastle, but in the end I decided not to as it was a day after I came back from holiday and she was touring TWBNI and I didnt like the idea of paying for a group cry along.

The day after the gig I found out that she hadn't done the planned TWBNI material as hadn't felt like it and had just let the audience do requests. I would be lying if I said I didn't regret not going.

What I have been wondering recently is how much time does Neil actually spend with his son?

I don't follow Neil on any social media, I still have Amanda on Facebook. Every few days she posts pictures of Ash, maybe going on a trip somewhere, reading a book, playing piano etc. All normal kids stuff.

She never seems to mention him being with his dad at all. I don't know if she just doesn't mention those times, or if Ash is just always with her.

Everytime I see him being parised by the Internet I just start wondering why no one is asking him when he last spent time with Ash? What is he in to currently? What is his favourite story? Who is his best friend at school? I am not sure he could answer.

I always got the impression that he didn’t spend any time with any of his children, but I may be wrong. Imagine being married to AFP though, legitimate nightmare.

I think some of the discussion is getting a little out of hand. Everyone on this thread disagrees with and condemns his behavior.

People are arguing against people who agree with them, because they they are curious about how certain things happened or are not using the ' correct' words.

That is interesting interesting, I have not heard of that.

On reflection, I also think people just act ' weird' around celebrities, want to please them and go along with what they suggest to be included. Not just in sexual situations, but every day situations as well. I think that is probably part of it.


As I said originally, I don't understand how people get into those situations as the behaviour doesn't seem to make sense , but I am lucky to have never been in that situation so obviously wouldn't know what it is like.

The main part I don't get about most recent episode was Claires boyfriend, because her behaviour would be classed as emotional cheating by a lot of people, but be seemed okay with it ( things like the intimate late night chats, the pictures, phone sex etc) Unless they had an open relationship or something.

I don't mind her more rougher singing and piano style for the dolls. It works really well as they have a more DIY/Punk aesthetic to them. She sings DD songs like she is trying to attack the piano and I like it. I am actually excited to hear the new DD songs if they ever come out.
