That’s strange for sure especially since it looked like her guest list was on the smaller side.

Alex is fine enough but there is something about her that feels off to me. She tries too hard to come across like the cool girl who just has a “cheeky McDonald’s” after the fancy formal event. She is just a regular gal. Except that she isn’t. She really is no different than all the other insufferable influencers. She is hyper concerned with her appearance and seems rather dull. I find her to have more self-awareness and maturity than a lot of these other content creators but there’s something manipulative there. Maybe that isn’t the word. Slyly performative? I can’t put my finger on it.

I've probably watched two videos of hers (so sorry but I struggle with her accent ) and her Vlogmas intro is wow but also like, chill it's a youtube video?
My dog was fascinated with the horse content!

so if she would half-assed the intro, people would be saying wtf, she's so lazy.. now that she's done it super beautifully she needs to chill? lol.


i really loved her ring! super beautiful. And i thought Andy chose Leo because he wanted to make it kinda more elevated, luxurious and let's be real, Leo is good for that sort of thing.

Honest thoughts from what I’ve seen so far. She looks more like a model playing a bride than someone happy to be getting married. Way too many high fashion facial expressions and poses instead of genuine love being expressed between her and the groom. I thought the city hall content was far more emotionally appealing. She is a gorgeous woman but she didn’t wow me as a bride. She has the figure to wear anything yet her dress was very meh and not all that flattering. It didn’t do her incredible physique any favors. It was designed more for a slightly larger lady. I feel like very beautiful women rarely look their best on their wedding day. She is used to dressing up. It felt like just another IG photo shoot for a brand.

I think she’s mentioned before that her dad doesn’t play any role in her life as he left them when she was very young. I think her mum is around but she doesn’t feature in any vlogs.

I really like her. I just hope she doesn’t change too much if she gets more popular. She seems quite down to earth at the moment and her dogs are adorable.

Ngl I am really surprised how much content around the wedding she has filmed considering in one of her latest vlogs she said she doesn’t want to be worrying about getting content and wants to be in the moment (also the main reason she hired someone to film the wedding in a more causal vlog style form) I haven’t watched her wedding video (part 1) yet so not sure if she addresses this. I appreciate she’s excited but it does come off a bit performative which Alex generally isn’t normally like.

I am surprised at how much she’s sharing, I thought we’d probably get a few photos/clips rather than a documentary that she is drip feeding as if people are waiting with baited breath to watch the next instalment. I have been watching the wedding vlogs, and feel like I’ve seen another side to Alex that is less appealing. I know filming content is her ‘job’ but she was filming Tik toks on her wedding morning and all the shots of her getting her dress on, her face was just so posed and pouty and it really does feel like she’s seen the wedding as one massive content opportunity. She has always seemed relatively private about her personal life, but this whole wedding series has made me think she’s just like other influencers really. I can’t fathom the cost of the wedding, she said a while ago she wouldn’t be taking freebies from suppliers. If they really paid for everything, it’s got to have cost close 100k It was definitely interesting to see her not in charge of the filming of the day, I know she gets to edit the vlogs but I still think they show a much more self-obsessed side to her.

Certainly! I can’t quite remember the question but it was something along the lines of can she explain her family background.
She said she doesn’t have a relationship at all with her mum (and I think her mum’s side in general) bar her sister as she grew up with one particular step father (there were a few) who was very violent towards her and her mother (Alex’s sister was sheltered from this a bit, she did mention her brother but not if she still has a relationship with him) and in the end her mother chose the step father over Alex (and her sister). He was also an alcoholic. She’s had years of therapy in response to this but she couldn’t really say too much more or go into more detail (she only mentioned one altercation in more detail) so I feel it was pretty horrific.
She also doesn’t have a relationship with her biological dad anymore because he was just a rubbish dad who picked and chose when he wanted to be in her life. He tried to reconnect with her when she was 21 years old but Alex wasn’t having any of it and it’s been no contact since.

Never commented on her thread before but her wedding looks so contrived for Instagram. She literally posted within hours of the event! Content creator must have been there all weekend getting bits, probably re-recording. Just all seemed OTT. Can tell all those bits for bridesmaids were gifted by L’Oréal.

Color me cynic but I think it's effing weird that he reached out to a "new" friend (aheum) to orchestrate this... And it's not lost on me that he choose an influencer, so she could pull some string and get them a lot of the usual "influencer" brands to participate. Maybe he paid for Jo loves, maybe it was heavily discounted, same with the flowers... It's just all in bad taste, and if I was one of Alex's actual friend, i'd be pretty pissed about it.

She doesn’t seem into him. At all. She is one of the more unimpressive brides I’ve ever seen between the connection to her groom and her dress. It felt like she was more concerned with outfit changes, hair, makeup and photos than actually experiencing her own wedding. It looks like the guests lightened up toward the end when they were drunk and on the dance floor. But most people seemed bored to me. It was relaxed for such a fancy venue which was nice enough. Maybe the conversations were wonderful. The majority of it seemed dull to me.

Lydia said her husband golfs with Alex’s guy, so that’s how they have more recently gotten to know each other outside of being influencers.

I am not sure if I am old fashioned but all the poses with the nightie and the garter were really strange. Who looks back at those? I thought the dress was the most beautiful I have ever seen. I wondered why one bridesmaid had a different material that made them all look odd then. I thought the burp was classy. I just fast forwarded. I thought the veil on the slide was all wrong and in the wrong position it needed flowers or something it looked like it had been plonked on. I think her hair looks nicer when she does it and her makeup way too much blusher. But I don't want to be negative she looked amazingly beautiful her dress was the dress of dreams and she made the most amazing bride. I am sure she will be truly happy. She deserves to be she works so hard and has been with him so long they make a great couple.

I’m getting married in September, just me and my partner there. No guests and then just a lovely afternoon champagne and then a spa afterwards. Alex’s videos have me so glad it’s so low key and cheap there’s no way I could have put so much prep and money into one day it would be so much pressure!
