Are you allowed to change the floorplan of a council house? She’s taking about removing the downstairs toilet to put a back door directly into the garden and is getting smug in her responses to people telling her not to get rid of another bathroom/ toilet. But she knows it best, Remi will use a potty so no need for a downstairs loo. Newsflash, kids grow up…. having an extra toilet/ bathroom is amazing when they get a bit older, they don’t use a potty forever!

She’s so short sighted and wants everything now, now, now! If she really wants to repurpose rooms and knock through walls, she’d be better off waiting, saving up and reconfiguring her kitchen so that she could have patio doors out into the garden. That wouldn’t give instant insta content though.

She’s an idiot. Not only do kids grow up (quickly!!) but when they’re using a potty, you still have to empty and clean said potty, severallll times a day. It’s a pain in the a to be trotting up and down the stairs!

Why though? She’s made these comments on an open social media platform, it’s only right that brands know what sort of people they’re giving freebies to as it’s obvious their marketing people do absolutely no research.

All building work is expensive. I recently had half a ceiling replaced and it was nearly £1000. To do that amount of work would be much more and, let's be honest, she's begging for a freebie from a local firm because otherwise you would email or ring a few builders.

I don’t know how it all works tbh, not because I’m stuck up and never had a council house but because I could never afford to do big renovations lol
But I’ve know people to get permission to knock the two living rooms into one room. I don’t know if that’s the same thing though? Lol
On my old estate when the new kitchens was getting fitted, a work man was telling me that a house up the road had taken a supporting wall out downstairs between the kitchen and the passageway to the back door and tried to make it open plan and used some kind of metal beams as support. And it as really dangerous and the housing said to them that they had to get the wall put back in straight away and if it wasn’t done by a certain date then they would be sending workmen round to put the wall back up asap and billing them for it.
I don’t know what happened after that sadly lol but I didn’t hear of anyone’s ceiling caving in.
