Anyone know what happened with her Primark skincare range? It seemed to be really popular but then disappeared.
No idea. I never tried it but that’s because I can’t face the chaos and queues inside Primark. I wonder how well her products actually sold. Wonder if I can find out Google how well her range did commercially.

Alex seems to love wearing baseball caps regularly but I think they look a little awkward on her. Like it’s not quite in synergy with her natural appearance. I think a beret or a Panama hat would suit her better.

I don’t know exactly why these shots are so funny to me. It’s the dorky, self-satisfied smiling and the fact that her head looks like an egg being lathered up.
And although a surprising amount of people can’t seem to tell, she is using strong smoothing beauty filters.

Does anyone know why her skincare range with Primark stopped? I never saw her say why. I went to buy a couple of her products that I liked at the end of last year and anything left was reduced.

Her hair is dry and straw/hay like and does she have a receding hairline issue?
I think maybe the beauty filters give her hair a less flattering appearance. Some filters on apps beautify facial features but somehow make hair texture look coarser. I do think Alex appears to over-expose her hair to too much heat styling though so that can’t help. Lightening naturally brunette hair makes it very dry too.

I actually just feel sorry for her. It must be really embarrassing being her and I can imagine that she is incredibly anxious and hates every single moment she has to step outside her house and be around real life people. It is absolutely baffling that she continues to do this even though deep down she knows that people know. She surely has some deep mental health issues.
There are moments I genuinely pity Alex because all evidence strongly suggest body dysmorphia is at play here. Every video showing her do a public live talk at venues like Selfridges or Harrods, I think she looks really self-conscious and awkward. Not the smouldering, pouting, Zoolander ‘Blue Steel’ posing version of Alex we get on Instagram and TikTok.

Her body language looks a bit awkward at public events and she dresses like she is desperately trying to conceal her entire body. No arms or legs are shown. Everything is super oversized and not in a chic, stylish way. She dresses to hide not flatter her body.

It just baffles me how such an affluent, highly formally educated woman is able to fool herself into thinking nobody will notice how heavily she uses beauty filters. The shamelessness in her vehement public denials! She has refuted every accusation of digitally altering her face shape. She doubles down every time and she has industry colleagues backing her up saying “No, I can vouch that Alex really does look like this!” Uh … FALSE. There’s so many YouTube videos and Getty images that expose Alex instantly.
I just wonder if she will ever stop or be called out.

Always always with the blurring, smoothing filters on. We never get high-def, truly unfiltered selfies from Alex. NEVER

48 years old and somehow she has the same skin texture as her pre-teen niece. Yeah, the filters are ON

Too blurry again on today’s live.

I actually appreciated her Vitamin C serum recommendations as I’ve just finished my current Vit C serum and was agonising over which Vit C to buy next. Think I will give the Allies of Skin 20% Vit C a go as it has great online reviews.

Alex's skin was so smoothed out/blurred as usual but yet she explains how she wanted to film herself with the remaining daylight through her office window to show us the true colours of her make up but I can never see how make up colours and textures apply on her skin because she’s always over-lit and too blurred out. I appreciate Katie Jane Hughes’ tutorials because you can really see the make up colours and textures. When KJH applies a cream blusher or a little highlighter, you can really get a good look at how it sits on the skin. I can’t examine Alex’s videos for an accurate idea on how foundations and blushes look.

She looks lovely in the last pic ⬆ well, the edited version of looks lovely, should I say.
I was surprised she posted this…

Yeah, I was a little surprised because when I observed how she seems to never want to scrape her hair back into a bun when she does a Sunday Facial, I assumed she had an insecurity about being seen with her hair scraped back. I thought maybe she was self conscious about her forehead. But maybe she’s trying to feel more accepting of her forehead.
I have a big forehead too, although it’s not as egg-like and as rounded as Alex’s. I don’t mind my forehead at all. Happy to wear my hair in a slick bun in public.

I’ve just looked at the girl’s insta who Alex has tagged in her stories.
The second slide. Has she has a thread lift? Her eyelids look like they’re being pulled upwards.
I see what you mean. One eyebrow looks pulled up. I don’t know what’s possible with thread lifts. I’ve always been warned of them. My cousin had thread lifts and said it was a waste of money and it made one cheek higher than the other.

In other news, surprised Alex has declared her dress size in a TikTok comment. I guessed her size correctly. I’m 5’11” like Alex and currently a size 10-12 but I have been a size 16 once (was stuck living in the middle of nowhere in Texas that year & lived off American supermarket food 😂) and thought she looked slightly thicker than I was at my heaviest.

I didn’t know Alex purported to have an ED too!
I’d never heard of this woman until I saw her on (fellow-filterer) Lorna luxe’s live last night.

It took me ten minutes to work out that it was the same person as the one pictured on her grid?!

Clearly both her and Lorna went to the same school of chin-filtering. They both have entirely different heads in real life. Both purport to have had ED’s yet filter themselves to different sizes.

Women with chronically low self esteem and mental health issues, contributing wholly to the next generation of women with low self esteem and mental health issues! Well done.

It really is perversely fascinating that friends, colleagues, family members , brands , all seem to gloss over what is quite clearly the elephant in the room..but then I guess no one can challenge these women as that becomes bullying someone with MH issues.
